Hi everyone! How are you today!
Just to let you know…the Pillow Party is still going on…so if you haven’t linked up your favorite pillow there is still some time left! And don’t forget to grab your free digital Mom Subway Sign!
Okay…Today I have an unbelievably easy project which I have to say looks elegant and so very pretty! A perfect little gift for Mom or just a little pretty to brighten your day. One thing I have to admit though…even though in real life it looks wonderful…I should have chosen a different color glitter to give you the real effect. Just trust me…it works!
Now…here’s the how to!
What will you need?
A set of candles…or a pillar candle…some Modge Podge or household white glue…masking tape…a brush…glitter and some ribbon!
Now take your candles and tape off the area where you do not want the glitter…the design pattern is totally up to you…I went with three stripe glitter…three stripes plain. Easy right!
Now you simply brush on the glue onto the exposed parts of the candle and sprinkle or roll in the glitter. I have to tell you I did stripe by stripe because the glue dries quickly. It is so easy because you don’t have to worry about being exact! Now let them dry for about 5 minutes and peel…the lines are clean and perfect!
Simply hot glue a bow…a flower and viola!
I hope you can see how pretty they really look! It was too late for me to do it again in another color and have it ready for you today! So sorry! I think you get the idea! I will say that I love the white in person : )
You can tie the two together and slip into a cello bag with a pretty tag and you have a great gift!
They add a bit of sparkle and shine anywhere you place them!
The stripes are subtle but really add the right amount of twinkle!
Look for some more simple glitter projects in the near future but I promise I will use a different color so you can see it better : ) Hope you try a set…they are really great and as always…you can add your own slant to it…any color glitter…any wonderful flower or embellishment…the list goes on! This is simply a suggestion for you to take off on!
ENJOY!
Malia…One is being lit for your precious little Gus.
Sending (((hugs))) to all!
