It’s Monday! Hope you all had a great Holiday Weekend…are you ready for the week ahead? A great way to start is with a delicious…healthy…creamy….Dreamy Smoothie! It makes a perfect breakfast or lunch for anyone in the house! I also offer a few ideas on how to make it a bit more decadent without adding calories…so here is what we are serving up today…
Thick & Creamy Peach and Banana Smoothie
Ingredients:
2 cups of Vanilla Greek Yogurt
(use your favorite kind!)
1/2 cup of ice cold milk or the equivalent in milk ice cubes
1 1/2 – 2 cups of frozen Peaches and of course if you have fresh that is fabulous!
1 full Banana (preferably frozen…just unpeel a banana and cut into pieces…place in a ziplock and keep in the freezer)
about 4-5 ice cubes made from Orange juice
1 tablespoon of Honey
Fruit for garnish!
Directions:
Now place everything in your blender and mix until thick and creamy! Using the frozen elements just increases the thickness…this smoothie has a rich and creamy milkshake effect but yet filled with all the right stuff! Of course if you do not have the frozen elements on hand…it will still taste wonderful…but if you can…use frozen… pour into pretty glasses…add your favorite garnish and…
drink up…YUM!
(makes 2 servings or 3-4 small servings)
Great way to start your day!
Try this with your favorite fruits and put a new spin on it…you simply can’t go wrong!!!
Enjoy!
