Here’s wishing you all a marvelous Monday!
Are you still tired from the weekend? Is the heat getting to you? Do you have that creative itch but just don’t want to get involved in a big project because life is hectic with the kids home from school…the trips to the movies…the lake and all kinds of activities??? If you answered YES to any of this…I have something for you and so do my friends…yep…it’s time for another episode of
It’s a Cinch

Time for
Chalkboard Clothespins DIY
Trust me…it DOES NOT get easier than this!
Let’s start with the supplies…
This is all you need! I have to tell you…when you are in the dollar store…look at their clothespins…I was really surprised to find a variety of sizes…these are an inch and 1/2 wide…a great size for clipping bills…notes…files…coupons and more…a dozen for a dollar is not bad…take a peek!
Stir up that chalkboard paint and brush on. I chose to cover the whole clothespin because I liked it that way. I did however coat the top that I wrote on 3 times…it dries in seconds and you can have the whole bunch done in 10 minutes! I truly love the brush on over the spray…it is more controlled…much less expensive in the long run because it goes sooooooo much further and it is good for the environment…that is called a triple W…Win Win Win!!!!
Also if you feel like making your own chalkboard paint in different colors…hope on over to see Karah’s DIY
After your pins are dry…
take out the chalk pencil and mark them with anything you would like…the best part is just with a little damp wipe…they are good to go again and again…
Doodle away…let the kids create their own…just have fun! They are great for organizing a desk…hanging artwork…glue a magnet on the back and stick it to the fridge to hold those special school papers and more!
So there you have it…it doesn’t get much easier and by the way…they make great gifts and September is right around the corner…what teacher wouldn’t love these! If you are going to give them as a gift…pack them with a little felt square!
ENJOY!
Now hop on over to my friends blogs…
Karah…Kelly…Kari and Linda!
You will be glad you did…as always they are shining stars!
(((((HUGS)))))
take it easy : )

I have to come clean – I have a little addiction to chalkboard paint! There, I said it! Don’t judge!
I want these – and I want to draw cute mustaches on my clothespins too even though nobody in my family has a mustache!
Great idea – as usual! Win, Win, Win!!

Looks great Andrea! I love chalk-anything! Where did you get the pencil? Our local Michael’s used to carry chalk ink in all sorts of colors but now it’s just white ink… no more colors

What a great idea! I still have some of the chalk pens but I have to admit they have not been the greatest buy… (thank goodness for coupons and gift cards!) as they dried out fairly quickly. Or maybe it was just a case of my boys used them a little too often. ha ha! Have a wonderful Independence Day!!

Cute project Andrea! I think I might make some of these. I use clothespins for MANY things. Maybe I should decorate them….

Hey Andrea! I love this idea!! Thanks so much for the shout out to my DIY chalkboard paint. Sorry I didn’t get by yesterday. Mico came home with us, we are cautiously optimistic but keeping a close eye and not getting much sleep. And I need to get one of those chalk pencils … it’s hard writing on my message board with sidewalk chalk. haha
