A very good day to everyone!
I wanted to share a simple little craft with you this morning. It’s fun…couldn’t be easier…no mess and the end result is really cool! The design possibilities are truly endless and I hope you have fund with it!
Asian Food anyone?
There is not many things I love more than Asian Food and it always must have a wonderful hot sauce to go with it! Part of the fun is picking up your chopsticks! Unless you have a stash of cool chopsticks in the draw…you eat with those plain boring ones…so here is a little way to dress up the table and make your culinary experience a bit more exciting!
Reminder: Junkin Joe’s Linky Party
is going WEEKLY…starting this Friday so hope to see you there with your vintage and thrifty finds and all your refurbishing projects and creations that you make with them!!!
1.
Ok…I got a package of “disposable” chopsticks at the grocery store…20 sets for $1.99…these are really nice…sturdy…smooth and CERTAINLY reusable! I have a set of black and white square dishes for Asian food so I used my black washi tape collection …you see here is where all the possibilities are…any color…any design…the skies the limit! Then the only other thing you will need is a pair of scissors! (I am going to tell you about another way below in case you don’t have any of these fun tapes.)
2.
Simply attach your tape and give a complete turn to cover all sides or a complete turn around if you are using round chopsticks…press tightly and then snip…use this method and repeat until you get the desired result!
3.
Mix it up! Have fun! How great would these look in a cool glass filled 1/4 of the way with rice placed on the table for everyone to pick from! Great for parties or a midnight snack!
You can reuse these by simply washing the used end.
I so hope you try this! It is so easy it is crazy and the results are really awesome!
If you do not have washi tape…take some of your scrapbook paper…cut strips and use modge podge to apply. Use the same method as above and then apply a few coats of modge podge to the decorated area and you can use over and over again! Grab a package of these next time and enjoy!
I don’t think this post would be complete with out a simply and delicious recipe for you!

I like those personalized chopsticks and I also love the concept that you put some decoration and design near the handle of the chopstick.
