Can you believe the weekend is here all ready and it is time for another one of our little trips down the rabbit hole of the blogosphere? Well it is going to be a free fall today! For some reason my mojo is off a bit this morning…feeling not really on my game if you know what I mean…maybe some of that has to do with being at the computer screen since 3:00 am?…just sayin : ) Well I now have more than enough black coffee pumping through my veins so let’s see what we can find!!!
Feeling on the Artsy side at the moment…so let’s start with art anyone can do…the art of
Collection that turns into Art!!!
Design Sponge had some features on this subject that I think you will all find very interesting and useful…let’s take a look at a few!
Liz is a very interesting person and if you want
a fun read…take a peek! She is a graphic artist with a major twist and she grew up going to garage sales with her mom and grandmother…she has turned many of her finds into actual art for the home…does this give you a little inspiration??? Oh Kelly my Jersey Girl…if you are out there…check this out…you and Liz are kindred souls!

Now for all of you vintage collectors with that shabby cottage love…check out this collection of vintage tins from photographer Corbin Lee Gurkin
Not only is his collection amazing…the way he has displayed them instantly becomes a piece of art with so much history behind each piece. Are you looking at all those little find that you haven’t used yet and coming up with any idea? I know I am!
Now this almost looks like an episode of Junkin Joe (by the way…the party is still going on so drop by if you get a second!)
This collection of flea market finds from Italy and France are the prized possessions of designer Louise Fili
He has three loves…food, type and Italy and his collections show it…check out the rest of his collections…art is only a step away for you today!
Collections are endless and each one has it’s own personality…let’s take a peek at a few more…
This is an amazing collection of rolling pins…one could leave them as is because they look fabulous or maybe create a wall of art…the possibilities are endless…my wish would be if each one could talk…can you image the stories they could tell from pecan pies…sugar cookies…pastries to what the neighbors 2 doors down are up to…LOVE this collection!
Check out this amazing dish collection that was featured on
A wonderful collection becomes a total wall of art…oh I am thinking about those dishes in the spare room that probably count over 300…think I should do something with them???
(don’t you love the name) decided to create her own art array with the collection of milk glass that she has collected. So beautiful and a piece of artwork that just keeps growing with each and every precious find!
Miss Keren…does this give you any ideas???
Have you tried arranging your treasured items into a vignette?
Vintage or contemporary…you can make you display your “own” art masterpiece.
I have to tell you .. this article from the
is a fabulous read if you want to know how to handle your collection when it becomes CLUTTER…it is a great short…to the point how to to deal with it…check it out!
Albums…what are albums???? Vinyl??? : ) Well check it out…you might flea for some rock and roll to create some cool art…I have to tell you…the piece looks like it should be hanging at the MOMA!
check out…
Batting 1000 with this gorgeous array from the best sport in the world (go Yankees!!! : )
What man wouldn’t want to have a piece of art like this!
There was no link to this little arrangement…but don’t you think each of the collections here would be fun framed and hung…how awesome would that be!
This is simply amazing…again a piece that could be at the MOMA…
And the Trophy goes to…YOU!!!!
You know you have the stuff…you know what you love and adore…take it out…dust it off…have fun and create your own collection art…hope to see it in the blogosphere of fun!!!
Had no idea we were going this way…but happy we did! Some cool stuff and hopefully somethings you haven’t seen before that gave you a touch of inspiration!!!!
Sending
