Do you need a quick and easy project? One that you can complete in about 5 minutes? Well that is what I have for you today. Quick…Easy and Inexpensive Log Slice Key Chains and Labels.
Come on in and I will show you how simple both crafts are.
This idea is to celebrate Earth Week.
All you need is an old branch and we sure have them…stacks of them in the back of the garage after Sandy in October. So we simply took one and sliced it up…you can also get your wood slices at your favorite craft store but if you have some old branches…slice them up…it’s free!
Then I happen to have some simple peel and stick letters, found the rings at the Dollar Store (8 for $1) and for the labels you will need twine…then with the help of your hand dandy drill you are good to go…
Let’s start with a simple wood slice drilled with a top hole. If you choose and old branch to slice, just allow it dry over night and you and you can also preserve it with a quick spray of acrylic sealer if you would like.
Now simply peel and stick your letter of choice on securely…
attach your ring…
in no time at all…you can have a forest load of gifts!
The peel and stick letters add a bit of pizzaz and dimension…but it is almost as easy to paint your letters on with an acrylic paint or paint marker…you can even stamp them on with a stayz-on ink. Regardless what you choose…it is quick…easy…inexpensive and fun!
Now simply by adding an additional hole and twine instead of the ring…you have these cool tags that you can use on mason jars…baskets…and more.
Simply add an additional hole…and apply your numbers…
add twine…
and get ready to label everything in sight!
You can use these nifty little wood slices in many other ways…I just might have to show you a few more really soon!
Here’s wishing you the best day ever and I will see you later for
Take 5!
