Before the real Junkin Joe Party starts…we are going to have a little cocktail to celebrate JJ’s most recent vintage find…we just thought it would be fun to create a retro type drink to toast everything vintage and everyone here at The Cottage Market…I know it’s early in the day…but it’s 5:00 some where : )
I do have to admit that we are basically occasional wine sippers in our home…but Junkin Joe came home with this awesome
vintage Bartenders book…
it’s a cool piece…printed in 1935…a different time and place…
so meet OLD Mr. BOSTON…
check out his cool recipes!
So in true retro style…we became bartenders (using what we had of course…and we happened to have a bottle of apricot brandy) so that became the base! And after some mixing…concocting…shaking and stirring we came up with
The Junkin Joe!
We made one for you too!
We also got to use some of Junkin Joe’s other vintage finds like these awesome etched glasses and cut crystal dish.
What we found was that this little blend works well not only as a cocktail but a spritzer by simply adding seltzer…or how about adding some sparkling white wine…some iced tea would be delicious and refreshing too…so we have made you a cool recipe card …in fact 2 so you can choose your retro style…who knows you might just want to stir up a
Junkin Joe this weekend!
we wrote it on a napkin for you…
just click on the image…right click…”save as” and print!
or maybe you would enjoy the recipe to have an even more retro look! The graphics come from a little pamphlet that was in the
Bartenders Book!
CHEERS to you all!!!!
Hope to see you at the Party…we are announcing the winner of the Giveaway today and we have some great features and of course our weekly PARTY!!!

Yum! That drink sounds delicious. And the glasses are perfect for it! Pinning.

Those napkins are adorable! They would be so cute wrapped around the ingredients and taken as a hostess gift. Cheers! (even though it is eight in the morning!)
