It’s that time again…a little moment in the day when you can kick up your feet…enjoy a cup of something yummy and relax for a bit while you enjoy the Cottage of the Week starring The Shabby Creek Cottage!
First I would like you to meet my dear friend
Gina (I don’t think she needs that much of an introduction since so many of you know her : ) but a little bit will be ok!
Gina is obsessed with interior design! She is always creating and striving to make her home more and more beautiful each and every day…on a budget! You will soon see that she is doing a fabulous job of it all!
So let’s drop by and visit with Gina and her family!
During the Summer months you will be welcomed with flowers and by the way these beautiful flower boxes are hand made and you can make them too with this easy DIY!
The entry way is small but is handled perfectly. Gina enjoys simple style which she has mastered on many levels including this fabulous ladder art…don’t you love it!
Can you tell that it is Summer Time here at the
Shabby Creek Cottage! The Mantle is forever changing in this warm and friendly home.
I know it is not Halloween…but I have to share the
Harry Potter Mantle with you!
Comfort and style…so much to enjoy here…Gina’s creativity is everywhere…have a visit and she will show you how to make many of the beautiful items you see.
I adore this piece…it is just so happy! Gina of course gave this cabinet its personality and then added her favorite anthropoligie vase along with a hand made frame for the POP!!
By the way…the beautiful cabinet is one of the reasons why everything is always so organized…it holds all of those remotes and video game items…nice and neat!
What do you get when you mix a perfect blend of vintage goodness with some eclectic artwork…perfection…and you can change the art on a whim or a season…I LOVE IT!
Had to share the Valentines Day Display…see how fun and easy it is to switch up the decor…Gina makes it seem effortless but fabulous!
The kitchen is a happy space and oh so very farmhouse in style. I am in love with the lighting with all its industrial style goodness.
One of Gina and Mitch’s first projects was the kitchen cabinets…oh and by the way…they also put down the beautiful wood floors themselves…built the kitchen island and the range hood…awesome right!
Gina’s signature aqua is highlighted : )
The island also has a yummy paint treatment that Gina shares.
On the other end of the kitchen is the eating area…the love of farmhouse design shines once again with a fabulous red barn door
as the focal artwork.
The half bathroom was a very recent labor of love and it turned out wonderfully…check it out! Oh and by the way…Mr. Shabby Creek…aka Marvelous Mitch…built the vanity!
Mitch also built the vanity in the main bathroom!
Gina’s studio area is a fun and cool space and once again filled with tons of handmade treasures
One of my favorite projects that Gina has created is the
She shares the DIY in case you would like to make one for yourself…I will be making one for my son for sure! I love that you can personalize it to the persons interest…I will be using Baseball History and and American History vintage books…just think about all the possibilities!
Here is the area where a lot of the creativity happens. Love the rug.
The studio also has plenty of storage area.
Behind the PRIVATE sign…
you will find Gina’s youngest daughter
Bre’s room which just got a fun makeover…
a perfect teen space!
The laundry room just recently got a bit of a farmhouse facelift..it’s a great place to be even though you are doing laundry!
A place for everything and everything in its place!
Then there is a little guest cottage that you can visit…here’s a little sneak peek…it’s forever changing but a great space all the time.
There is so much more to see over at
The Shabby Creek Cottage like how to make your own mantle…yes…from scratch…
Tons of DIY Sewing projects
Â
and soooooooo much more!
You can keep up with Gina by tuning into her
There is always something happening at

Love the clipboard art and the birdcage. It is fun to see how she changes it up with the season or holiday.
After looking at blogs tonight, I literally went through the house and moved furniture from room to room and swapped out vignettes. It is so fun to get inspiration from blogs.
