What is Take 5 you ask…well it is a collection of 5 things that I think you will all enjoy! It can be themed…random…food…crafts…home decor and everything in between. Hopefully you will love them enough to take 5 minutes out of your busy day… relax and
enjoy! Today it’s about
A Little Blue Cottage
Do you love blue as much as I do?
If you don’t…I bet you you will after you take a little tour of this sweet cottage. I didn’t set out to find blue today…it found me! I usually get my pictures from a ton of different sources…but today for the first time…just one! I had to share this oh so
Cottage FRESH space with you and after you see it you will know why! When you are finished here…please go and see the rest of the tour.
How sweet is this space…a beautifully stenciled little dresser in an amazing blue…decorated simply and elegantly. Then a different mood of blue for the mirror that is accompanied by oh so pretty vintage friends…matching chairs on either side just creates a symmetrical dream.
The love affair with blue continues into the dining room…the high chair railed bead board and the wide border of blue looks picture perfect. The drapes in a melody of blue with green accents brings the entire room alive…a touch of white washing and milk glass and of course flowers…what can you say?
Creamy blue walls complimented with whites and creams works perfectly in this room. All of the accessories and accent pieces blend seamlessly. What a tranquil and relaxing space.
Chippy vintage…and perfect accessories create such an inviting space/ I love the different shades of blues…just perfect!
Once again…creamy chippy white with a strong blue contrast creates some drama with this precious vintage hutch. Then add a couch that is brimming with pillows that just pop with blue joy…how can you go wrong!
The one thing that I love about all of this is that you can re-create the look without a high high cost factor. With unique ideas…some time and patience and of course with the power of PAINT…the sky is the limit! Then it is time to hit your own collections or maybe spend some time at a flea market or two…good will…garage sales…and find all of those special pieces that make a house a home! CREATE!!! and ENJOY!!!
There is more to see…so hop on over to
BHG for the rest of the little tour : )
