It’s time for another episode of Junkin Joe! Come on in and check out some great features and a wonderful Linky Party where everyone is welcome. A great place to show off your vintage and thrifty finds…upcycled projects, refurbished furniture and more! We would love it if you join us today!
But first…a strange thing happened on the way to Good Will…
Welcome everyone! How are you today. This is the part that we share Joe’s finds or upcycled projects… we had plans on having a few new finds for you…but a strange thing happened on the way to Good Will…Joe never got there!
Joe was on his way to Good Will on a sweltering afternoon. He took his normal route. Then he was stopped at a traffic light and he glanced to his right…something caught his eye…he took a double take and really was very perplexed. So he turned into the next side street…parked and walked to the spot where he saw a bit of a glimmer and movement…you are not going to believe this …but it was a plastic bag with a gold fish in it…????? I won’t go into my al spew about how some people mistreat animals and don’t regard their live’s in general…but really…come on???? Why??? Ok…so he snatched the bag up with a very shocked little guy in it and came back home so he could get this little one in a larger space and hopefully revive him. Now what to do when you do not have the proper home for a goldfish? You improvise until you get a tank!
Remember that grand punch bowl Junkin Joe found awhile back? Well it isn’t filled with some lively brew…it has a temporary visitor…
He’s one tough little guy so hence his name…
For those of you that are not familiar with this name…he is also formerly known as The Rock! lol!
He will be moving to a new fish tank on Saturday…till then he will be hanging out at the “crystal ballroom”!
You just never know what you will wind up using that special find for!!!
So…the Junkin Joe finds have been pre-empted but will return next week with a fish update!!!

It’s so true, you never know what you’ll spot on the street. Glad Junkin’ Joe was able to be a goldfish good samaritan. Thanks for making your party a notch above with all your fun comments on everyone’s posts. I love reading your descriptions. And thanks for featuring my redo’s and whatnot from last week!

Robin @ Happily Home, After says
I just love the crystal ballroom idea! And can Dwayne raise just one eyebrow like his namesake? Beaver thanks you for all your sweetness. Happy weekend, stay cool, I sort of wish we had a crystal ballroom large enough for humans at my house cause we’re baking in the mid-atlantic south! Robin
Artsy VaVa says
That is one of those “unlucky”, “lucky” stories…if you are unlucky enough to be left on the side of the road in a bag full of super hot water, at least you are lucky enough to find someone like JJ to find you and take you home. That is another great excuse for all of us to go junkin’…you REALLY never know what you’ll find!
Thanks for featuring my kerosene heater table! It is my new favorite “porch piece”. Have a great weekend!

Oh bless Dwayne the fish’ little heart. I am so happy that he found a new Mummy and Daddy to love him. I wonder if somebody accidently left him behind when they got on the bus ?
The crystal ballroom is the perfect retreat for someone who has gone through turmoil. I hope you will be serving him breakfast in bed and turning down his sheets……oh and don’t forget a massage because he will need to learn how to relax and take it easy after his ordeal……lol
I once had a fishtank with a teacup in the bottom of it and the fish used to sleep inside the cup ! Only at my house……..
love and hugs to you and the junk man and of course Dwayne.

Thanks so much for the feature of my Fairy Garden House….I am thrilled. Now for MY interesting/hysterical Goodwill story!!! Guess what I saw on the shelf in GW the other day! A HOME PREGNANCY TEST!!!! Go Figure…wonder what the person donating it was thinking….and what the GW Staff thought when they put it on the shelf…I really should have bought it for my “Gift Closet”…LOL!
