ideas for Arranging a Room!
I know…it’s not the most exciting title…but when I was doing my daily searching I came across a pretty extensive section over at BGH that shared many different options for furniture placement fo all kinds of scenarios! So I thought sharing some of those ideas with you would be a great idea and if you want to see more…you can always hop over to see the other ideas and suggestions.
You never know…you just might have an AHA…moment and solve a little furniture dilema : )
Have you ever considered arranging your furniture on a diagonal? It helps to give a boxy room some personality. Once you place the sofa and the coffee table to create the diagonal axis…everything then falls into place. It is so cool how the diagonal also create a great pathway into the area.
If you hang out in a room a lot with family and friends…a traditional style is great for those face to face chats. With the chairs directly across from the couch and the coffee table square in the middle…everyone has a place to put a drink and converse straight away.
When you have a small area…sometimes it is a great idea to exclude the couch from the decor and just go with your favorite chairs. Keeping the furniture at a smaller scale makes a smaller space seem much roomier!
So you have a nice size room with
a large window? Don’t worry about it…use the space as if there was a wall there…the placement of 2 chairs and a little table with a vignette works perfectly. I know this works because I just did it and I love it.
Depending on your style…needs…etc…opting for 4 fabulous chairs instead of a couch could be just what you are looking for…this arrangement looks great…comfy and perfect for talking about your day…A Flat screen could very easily be placed above the fireplace for perfect viewing pleasure! I really like this space and the rug just pulls it all together!
Now here is a cool little tool that you might enjoy…
it is called
It’s free and fun to play with…you can play around with different room layouts and create your own arrangement.
Have fun everyone and enjoy!
