It’s Sunday so that can mean only one thing here at The Cottage Market…It’s time to sit back…relax…enjoy a cup of something scrumptious…put your feet up and enjoy a simply gorgeous home tour. Today we are shining the spot light on a glorious Texas home that speaks with a French accent …one that brings the entire Farmhouse French Home Decor alive! I would like to welcome you to our Home Tour Cedar Hill Ranch.
First things first…you must meet the lady of the house Anita. She is the magic behind Cedar Hill. The home decor and life style is relaxed but has grace and beauty. A home that welcomes and hugs family and friends the moment they come through the door. It is a comfy …loving…gorgeous space that you are never going to want to leave. The best part is this tour has a part 1 and a part 2. Anita and her family just purchased a new home in the city that is simply amazing and they have their round top ranch that is dreamy.  Anita, her husband, two teenage daughters and their collie share the two homes.
Anita loves antiques, vintage items, rusty-crusty-chippy things and all things French. A master at design, photography, writing but the one thing she does best is hang out and love her family. When some people are asked what is your favorite season…Anita answers
“Round Top Antique Week is my favorite time of year”! There is just so much to share about Anita and her family…you have to take a visit over to her fabulous blog and spend a few hours…they will fly by and you will be hopelessly in love.
Let’s knock…
You know that I love to start with the kitchen…but I had to begin with where Anita blogs …her new gorgeous Study space…it’s like a mini vacation to a Paris apartment.Â
Anita’s favorite decor element in this room are the vintage hanging doors . They are hung just like barn doors and are no short of amazing.
You are in for a treat…it is time to have a seat and enjoy the fabulous French White Living Room. A glorious French living space and Anita shares many of her tips with us…a must read.
I adore the layers upon layers of details…they give you the feeling of a plush but comfy room.
A gas fireplace was used instead of a wood-burning fireplace…I agree with Anita…it was an excellent move. It looks picture perfect but there will be no time spent cleaning it or gathering wood…only time for enjoying. Don’t you just love the detailing that Anita added to her couch slipcover. How perfect is this room.
This vignette…well I will let it speak for itself.
This Newel Post almost didn’t make it in the house…I think you will find its story very interesting.
We are now moving into the Farmhouse French Dining Room and it is amazing. You feel as though you have been transported to an olive grove near the French Riviera.Â
The floors are simply divine!
The Master Bedroom shines a light on the incredible hardwood floors. The entire room is a masterpiece.
An array of antiques bless this room…the vintage pine armoire is kissed with an antique French laundry basket …positively scrumptious. Needlepoint French Chairs… a perfect little table…
an original oil painting and just look at the gorgeous vintage dress (deep sigh:).
Then there is this simply gorgeous vanity that Anita found in a Thrift store. Read her story I know you will enjoy it. Do you see that lamp…Anita found that at Round Top from a dealer/artist that takes salvage pieces and turns them into lamps…how awesome is that. You will find all kind of amazing vintage trivia when you visit Anita.
This room is incredible and you must drop by to see all of the other details and there are many! Â
Now close your eyes and imagine what kind of master bathroom would compliment the above bedroom…now open them…did you envision this tub? I did! Drop by and experience this gorgeous space and get all of the details!
Are you ready for this Kitchen…pinch me I do believe I am dreaming! It even comes with the most gorgeous doggie (very important you know : ) I do not know how this kitchen could be more perfect.
Â
The hardware is totally Frenchy!
A vintage silver water pitcher with perfect patina holds the utensils…I give this an oooo…la…la!
Built-in plate racks with vintage china…how sweet it is. Then there is the antique hutch and the picture perfect lighting.
Then there is a Butler’s pantry…a total dream…
many other details await your visit.
Now I am going give you a peek into the Cedar Hill Ranch and one thing is for certain…you are going to want to take the full tour and experience this amazing countryside Ranch. It’s a 30 acre ranch and this families dream come true…you will know why in an instant. French linens…chandelier…a field painted with Bluebonnets…can you say heaven!
How about a lazy day swinging on the hammock?Â
Have a seat and…
enjoy the view from the Treehouse…yes I said Treehouse. Now that is what I call a birdseye view.
How about enjoying a wonderful meal on the porch with family and friends.
How perfect is this spectacular ranch…take a look…it comes with a Lassie : )
Friends…there is just so much more to see and experience here at Cedar Hill. There are Interviews, Enchanting Family Photos.Â
The entire blog is filled with more gorgeous rooms…DIY’s, Flea Market experiences and so much more!
You can stay in touch with Anita via:Â Facebook, Twitter, RssFeed
By the way…Anita has been featured in a large array of Magazines this year including my favorite…Somerset Life…3 TIMES!!!! You can take a look at the others when you drop by for a cup of something yummy!
Cedar Ranch Blog is just an incredible experience. It transports you to homes that are brimming with French Farmhouse style, imagination, vintage charm, style beyond the skies and love of family and friends. We all want to thank Anita and her family for having us over today. The visit was so enjoyable…delightful and enlightening! Remember…Anita has so much more to share with you…tons of decorating tips and so much more. I do believe she will always have her door open to you…so drop by often and enjoy and be inspired!
