It’s been awhile since we explored some Cottage Kitchen Fun! You know…some little ideas that add a ton of freshness to the all important kitchen. A bit of a facelift! Today it is all about fresh and frugal! None of these ideas will break the bank and they do not take a ton of time. I know that everyone is so very busy! These are little things that you can do if you are dying for a little change. See what you think…I bet one of these ideas will grab your attention!
I happen to be in love with this and all of you thrifter’s and Flea Market finders will love it too. Simply pick out one of your fabulous finds that can be used as a planter and place a wonderful plant in it and voila…something fresh and fun! Doesn’t this vintage pasta pot look incredible with the fresh blooms. Any kitchen would smile if you treated it to a vintage treasure and plant.
Keep your eyes peeled for a chippy and worn cart that you can shabby up with your favorite color…add a cutting board…your favorite bowls and you have something oh so cottage fresh!
You may have a nice big basket in your home all ready…if you don’t…keep searching at the Flea Markets…Good Will…Garage Sales …Thrift Shops and all of the wonderful places that hold treasures. Simply place a big basket on the floor or counter and fill it up with cutting boards…utensils or maybe vintage china…it will add a fresh new dimension with hardly a cost at all! A great way to add some cottage charm to your kitchen is to accessorize! Find a perfect place for those vintage dishes…utensils…pitchers and more! Arrange them just so and they will give the kitchen all new Cottage life!
Chippy…shabby…and a touch of rustiness makes this wooden shelf amazing! A real touch of cottage charm. If you can find something like this and add some pretty tea cups…it will instantly pick you your kitchen space up and make it smile!

If you have a pantry and you want to jazz it up from the inside out…how about lining it with bead board…paint the shelving white and add a see through screen vintage door. How cottage cute does this look and check out the door handle…the PERFECT touch for sure. Keep your eye out for just the right door…this looks fabulous!
Now if you are lucky enough to find some awesome architectural pieces of molding or such…you can add character by adding it to the counter space creating a mantle look…so cottage charming and so interesting…don’t you think!

Check your thrifting stash. That little teeny kitchen with the “Cherries” sign? I have pinned it all over the place. My kitchen (1947) is also teeny, but was updated BADLY and I am trying to figure out what I can do (cheap and simple) to make it what it needs to be. That kitchen is my inspiration!
