In the midst of all of the Holiday Buzz…letr’ take a few minutes out and take a home tour of a lovely bungalow house in New York State. This charming abode is the home of Jordan…hubby and adorable pup Gracie. We have been invited in fo a cup of something yummy to drink and to take a sweet home tour! Welcome to the Cottage of the Week Starring The 2 Seasons.
First things first…a little introduction is in order : ) The 2 Seasons is a Mother and Daughter blog (don’t you love it!!!) I would like you to meet Jordan (daughter) and Mom Janette…aren’t they cute!
They live in different parts of the country but they are very very close and blogging together keeps them even closer! They share their adventures of decorating their own homes…food, fun and their world wide travels which are many…you have to check out their about us section…I have to tell you will be amazed at their adventures and may I say…impressed and inspired. Together they bring us a blog that is filled with fun and oh so useful information …even though they are in 2 different seasons…it’s all a sunny day here!
Today we will be visiting with Jordan…the man of her dreams Mr. Spring and the adorable German Shorthaired pointer, Gracie! They will be sharing a wonderful Home Tour of their 1928 bungalow. It is charming…warm…inviting and comfy. A touch of cottage, industrial chic, simple and clean lines and most of all…it reflects the people that live there…I love it! So without any further ado…let’s go in side.
knock knock…
Welcome to the living room which is a very open space. It is bright and airy and a perfect gathering space for the family…friends…special occasions and every day living. A very happy space.
I love the attention to detail.
This is such a great little tip…using plants to cover up electrical cords!
And you never know how things are going to be changed up …I love how she changes the accent pieces to add a different spin/
Looks like our friend Jordan is a bit of a thrifter and her wonderful wall of vintage silver trays is surely a benefit!
The bar area is really an amazing space…how perfect for entertaining is this! The wide open space is just a complete joy. What a view of the first floor!
Let’s move into the Dining Room.
A fresh and fun space…with an eclectic blend of decor that works perfectly together.
Loving the light…it is so open and wonderful for this room.
Let’s explore the kitchen which is a blend of farmhouse…cottage…space efficient and open as a bonus!
The open shelving and chalkboard labels give the kitchen such a cottage charm. I am loving the open counter space everywhere…that is something I have never mastered and would love to! : )
Jordan decided that a desk was not a necessity in the kitchen…so she turned it into a coffee bar…great move! ; ) they use it every day.
There is always a little reminder to be thankful in this loving home.
Let’s go upstairs now but first…check out the fabulous Gallery Wall!
Time to enjoy the Master Bedroom.
A wonderfully neutral space…but the artwork and the gorgeous hardwood floors add a little POP!
An eclectic mix adds character and depth to the room…Jordan just felt in her heart that she couldn’t paint her Ethan Allen Dresser and it looks perfect just the way it is : )
Once again…I just really enjoy the little details.
There are two warm and friendly guest rooms upstairs…I am going to give you a little sneak peek and then you can visit them after the tour : )
The Back Porch is Fun and Cheerful!
It even has this great upcycled changing table…turned bar!
There is even a fabulous little Mudroom built by Mr. Spring himself! Looks like Gracie wants to go for a walk.
This fabulous family hopes to see you soon! They are ready and waiting…now that you are friends…come on and knock at the back door and stop by for a visit!
For a little added bonus today…I am going to give you a little peek at Mom Janette’s town house in Kentucky…you know how much I love unique details…how could I not share this space with you : )
Have a seat!
Comfy Cozy!
Eclectic and Fun!
I am sure you are going to want to stay in touch with this great Mother and Daughter Team and what a Team they make! To make it nice and easy…you can join them on…
There are fabulous recipes and projects to check out also!
I so urge you all to visit these wonderful ladies! Their story is fascinating and their adventures continue each and every day…to say they are inspiring is truly an understatement!
I do believe that you will all appreciate Jordan’s favorite quote by Mark Twain…
” Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Everyone here at The Cottage Market Family would like to thank Jordan and family and Janette for such a wonderful tour! You were all amazingly welcoming and it and it was a joy to visit. You can be assured that we will be back over and over again. I have a feeling there will be someone always waiting for us…so everyone…remember to bring treats!
