Are you a candy lover? Is chocolate your absolute favorite? Yet you still love all kinds of other candies and can never decide which one your really want? Well I have the perfect little sweet creation for you today because you can tailor make this delicious chocolate candy bark to anyone’s desired tastes! It’s sooooooooooo easy and WOW is it delicious. What a great Valentine’s Day gift it would make or just an I am thinking of you surprise!
One this is for sure it’s going to be delicious once you add all of your special touches!
Ingredients:
1 lb fabulous milk or semi sweet chocolate finely chopped or chips or discs
1/3 lb of white chocolate or any color you would like
1 1/2 cups of chopped candies…cookies…pretzels…nuts…fruits…that you ore your loved ones adore
Directions:
Prepare a piece of parchment paper large enough to hold the bark project…approximately 15 inches in width would be great and place it on the working space (you can also use foil). Now melt your chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water…or you can use a double boiler. As soon as the is totally melted…spread it on the parchment paper forming sort of a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Now let the art work begin. Take your pieces and bits and start arranging all over the surface. The warm chocolate acts as the perfect glue. You have about 10 minutes to play with all of the embellishments. Once you have them all arranged just the way you want them…melt your white or colored chocolate and start to free form squiggle thin lines of chocolate every where! There is no right or wrong…one thing is a must though…HAVE FUN doing it! You can use a fork…a narrow spoon…or you can put it in a pastry bag with a thin tip. Now all that is left to do is to let it set and cool. Once it is all cooled and hard (approximately 2 hours) break it and pack it up …or just put it in a bowl on the table and call everyone in for a snack!
I think it is a very artistic gift…doesn’t it look like an abstract painting…or something Jackson Pollack would snack on!
There are so many ways you can pack up this sweet sweet goodness…this year I am using simple Take-Out Containers and adding a chalkboard heart for my message. I simply took some chalkboard contact paper…cut the heart out free form and placed it on the container. I think it is perfect! Add any embellishments you would like and you have the perfect special gift!
How easy was that!!! Have fun making the perfect Chocolate Candy Bark for you and your loved ones. I know you will be making it over and over again.
