I can’t believe we are on Day 4 of Weddings in a Jar. Sure hope you are enjoying it. Today we have a really fun project for you…it’s a Wedding Wish Jar DIY with all the Free Printables you need to make it! It’s such a fabulous little extra to have at your Wedding. All of your family and friends can write the wishes they have for the happy couple. A perfect little touch that you will enjoy well after the Wedding Reception is over. After you check out the DIY on this Wish Jar…I hope you hop on over to my friends Angie from The Country Chic Cottage, Gina from The Shabby Creek Cottage, Desiree from The 36th Avenue and Malia from Yesterday On Tuesday and see what Wedding in a Jar creations they have made! Let’s get started…
You are going to need a quart size mason jar and lid, scissors, ribbon, glue and then you are going to need all of the printed items and you will find your free printables right here!
First things first…you will have to print your heart …your lid top and as many sheets of the little wish cards you need for everyone coming to the wedding.
I have to let you in on a secret…you can pop the printables on a flash drive and bring them to your local stationary store or a Staples…Office Depot…etc…they do full color sheets on card stock for $1 and the quality is amazing! Of course you can print your own too : )
Now it is time to cut everything out. Just cut the heart and lid out the old fashion way and then if you would like you can use a paper cutter for the cards and the band.
Once you have cut your top…put the top together and I suggest putting a little dab of glue inside the rim so it holds since it won’t be screwed on till it is filled.
Cut your heart and band out (if you want a different color…you can use ribbon as an alternative).
Wrap your band around the bottle and glue it in the front and then glue the heart right in the middle of the center section and then you are done with the jar!
Then cut your little wish cards…as many as you will need. The lines are there for you to follow!
Add a pen and there you go…your Wish Jar is complete.
This little DIY project is not only perfect for The Wedding Day…it is also perfect for anniversaries…birthdays…and so much more…just create a new lid…the rest fits all occasions! ENJOY!
