How to get The Fixer Upper Look!
So many of us are totally hooked on Joanna and Chip Gaines and their show Fixer Upper! I know I am! This couple could not be sweeter and they could not be more talented! The look they create is homey…warm…loving…cozy and oh so comfortable. Well unfortunately Joanna and Chip are not going to be taking many of us on a ride to look at 3 homes and unfortunately most of us will not be able to pick that perfect Fixer Upper for them to work their magic on (we can dream though:) So I thought that the next best thing was to weave the creativity and talents of some incredibly AMAZING bloggers together into a post that would share some of their Basic DIY Farmhouse Projects & Tips that will help you DIY Your Way to the Fixer-Upper Look!
The first door we are going to knock on is Anderson + Grant where the fabulous Jamie will be waiting to show you an ocean filled with Farmhouse Fresh creations and decor ideas. When you visit…be prepared to have a back-up coffee with you because you are going to be there awhile!
Here is one element that will start you on your way…it’s a Dough Bowl…a fabulous basic accessory that you can transform by the occasion or Season…it’s magical! You can use your imagination and creativity and whatever you decide to fill this little beauty with it is guaranteed to look perfect. Now you are probably saying to yourself…these aren’t easy to find! They are great an all but I doubt I can get one…well guess what…you don’t have to worry because Jamie has a spot on tutorial on how to create this dough bowl so everyone that wants one can have one! How great is that.

Ladder displays are so incredibly popular and are picture perfect in the bathroom or just about any room! This beauty can act as a display but it could also work for storing towel or other sundries…one way or another it looks sensational. (Do you see Kari’s dough bowl there with holding towels…those little beauties lend themselves to anything) Once again you are asking yourself…where can I find one of these and the answer is…a lot of places…you can use a vintage ladder that you find at the Thrift Shop…or a taller one that you pick up at a garage sales…or you can buy a brand new one and use as is or distress it and the list goes on. If you want one just like Kari’s …good news again…this is an IKEA HACK…so many of you can create this with no problem at all and Kari shows you how! If you would like more ladder ideas…click here.
