I am pretty excited about today’s collection of Farmtastic Farmhouse Thrift Store Makeovers. Each one is so much fun and I know they will all inspire you in so many different ways. Each of the bloggers represented here has such an incredible flair for Farmhouse Home Decor. it just amazes me how they can take these “seen better days” items and transform them into a total masterpiece. So it is time to sit back…enjoy a cup of your favorite brew and check out these marvelous makeovers…Thrift Store Items never looked so good!
Lauren over at Bless’er House got a phone call from her bestie about this Thrift Store Table that had peeling veneer coming off the top and had see many better days… the only thing she wanted was to get her hands on it and she did! That is when the magic happened. Lauren is going to show you how to transform a piece that looked like it would never shine again into a Farmtastic piece of furniture! Come and see how adding wood planks…putty and some paint can make everything sensational! Love the look!
When Jamie from Anderson + Grant, found this little rack…it whispered to her that she needed some help…so that is exactly what Jamie did. She took her home and spent an afternoon with this little piece that had seen better days. They chatted and got to know each other…then Jamie treated her to a complete makeover and now…she is FARMTASTIC!!!! Don’t you think!
Beth from Unskinny Boppy was really lucky when she found these fabulous wooden bowls at the Thrift Shop. Some people might have walked away from them but she had a plan. By simply drilling some drainage at the bottom …she transformed them into amazing Farmtastic Planters…just look at them! They look picture perfect displayed on their upcycled base…but they would also be picture perfect as indoor planters. Ah the potential of a simple wooden bowl…don’t let them pass you by!
You are going to enjoy the little story Liz from Love Grows Wild tells about this Cast Iron Bench and how she found int on the side of the road amongst a pile of what was mostly garbage! Let’s flash forward …Liz shows you what happens with some sanding…chalk paint…wax and oh yes…LOVE!!! The results are FARMTASTIC and this cozy little bench graces the dining wintry way! This is a must see…it will give you tons of inspiration!
Now Angie over at Knick of Time took a very “dated” kind of “colonial…country sampler style” and transformed it into a Farmtastic Beauty! Come and see how she did it and then on top of it…she filled it with rolled vintage book and music pages that just added to its charm. Love it! Oh and when you see a basket…tin or anything that you like the shape of but you hate the present look…you have the power to change it up!!!
When you drop by Canary Street Crafts and visit with the fabulous Mother/Daughter Team of Vicki & Amy you are going to find an incredible Makeover…really! They picked up an old beat up sewing cabinet at a Yard Sale! You are in for a treat when you see what happens next! Come and see the incredible transformation…you will be complete inspired!
I have to tell you that my heart did a little pitter patter when I saw this Thrifted Wicker Chair over at Liz Marie Blog. She had had her eye on a $200 Wicker Chair over at Pier 1 but couldn’t justify it…but when she saw this Wicker Chair at her local Thrift Shop for $15 it didn’t matter that there was no cushion and that it was scratched and had some damage spots…she had a plan and all I can say is WOW!!! Drop by and see how she created this beauty…trust me…you will look at wicker totally different from now on!

I see where this is going now! So if I find something to upcycle, I need some whitish/grey stain, white cushions, white rug… and it’s farmhouse! The beauty of it is that once it goes out of style (not soon, I hope) you can paint it dark, or blue, or green…. thanks, Andrea!
