Hi there Andrea. I have researched it and here is the bottom line… Pork in itself is as harmless to dogs as chicken, beef or any other meat. However, there is a slight risk of your dog being infected with trichinosis by eating pork. Besides, I think pork has more salt/preservatives….I think of it as a processed food. … There are many humans that do not eat pork.Mar 25, 2015

So my friend…I would say if you are the one that is buying and cooking the pork/bacon I do believe you are very safe…but to avoid ANY problems I guess the easiest thing is not to feed it to your pup. Many dog biscuits call for bacon…but it it is cooked really well and it is a quality product you should be fine : ) You take care now and have an an AMAZING New Year!!! Hugs…
