Vol 10. Welcome friends! I am going to be doing a little something new on Saturdays. The Cottage Market in the early years (akaā¦before I knew any thing about blogging lol) had a little segment called Down The Rabbit Hole. It was a collection of random links that I found throughout the week that I loved and think you will do. So I thought it was time to bring it back New and Improved, because I am going to be adding a little Giveaway each weekā¦a little something that I found fun and thought you would like. The items are not sponsored and are purchased directly by me to send you a smile. My approach to this New Year is living more simply and putting more emphasis on the ālittle thingsā and the important things in life like kindnessā¦compassionā¦healthā¦familyā¦love of animalā¦charityā¦well I think you get the pictureā¦ So on Saturdayās sharing some fun linksā¦sending someone a smile with a token of my appreciation will be the norm. You can enter the Giveaway by simply leaving a comment. There is another very important facet to Saturdayās Down The Rabbit Holeā¦for EACH comment left The Cottage Marketā¦aka myself and my family will be donating $1 to a deserving charity each week which we will announce and be accountable forā¦so letās leave those comments . Tell us what your favorite things are and spread the love. The Cottage Market is also making a personal pledge to donate 5 percent of our net earnings to Charity this yearā¦itās a way of giving back and that is so very important to us. So come on in an enjoyā¦spread the love and maybe win a little something cool while donating to charity. Scroll on down to see this weeks FUN Giveaway! (rememberā¦blue words are clickable : )

It shows their strengthā¦their deep friendships and love. I saw a special on them and truly wanted to share. The group is called the Flat Club and they are women that have suffered through Breast Cancer and survived. They have made a bold choice of not choosing for reconstructive surgery and this is a glance into who they are. I find their journey amazing and beautifulā¦the pictures are unique but for some they might be considered sensitive. I just love their story.

This Week’s Charity is: Social Tees Animal Rescue
Our Rescue of the week is Social Tees Rescue in NYCā¦what an amazing group this is. It totally warms our hearts to see these precious lives saved and then given a whole new lease on life.
Social Tees Animal Rescue is a not-Āfor-profit, strictly no-Ākill 501c3 organization in the East Village of NYC that takes abandoned animals from kill shelters and provides them with safe haven and veterinary care before placing them in proper forever homes.
We rescue, rehabilitate, and place over 3,000 dogs, cats, birds, and exotics per year. All dogs and cats we rescue are neutered; up to date on vaccines; microchipped; tested; treated with defleaing, deworming, and demiting medication as necessary; and more.

I love your Rabbit Hole segment, I clicked on almost all the links and I seriously went down the rabbit hole in some of them. I love the Bialy wine idea – giving to charity from the wine sales. I love watching Fixer Upper, so went down the rabbit hole on their site (I’ve even been to Magnolia Market). This was fun, looking forward to spending next Saturday morning with you.

I remember seeing that Mermaid Toast and thinking it was so neat looking. I read something where people on the Internet were dissing the artist’s work and saying how dumb it was, and the artist pretty much just said they needed to chill out because it was just nothing but her having fun! I loved that!

Thanks for sharing the Flat Club; it does take some courage not to do “what ever one else is”. As a 2-time breast cancer survivor, I believe women need to get all the info they can to make the best informed decision for them personally. On a lighter note, thanks for all the happy colors in the post.
