Vol 28. Welcome friends! I am going to be doing a little something new on Saturdays. The Cottage Market in the early years (akaā¦before I knew any thing about blogging lol) had a little segment called Down The Rabbit Hole. It was a collection of random links that I found throughout the week that I loved and think you will do. So I thought it was time to bring it back New and Improved, because I am going to be adding a little Giveaway each weekā¦a little something that I found fun and thought you would like. The items are not sponsored and are purchased directly by me to send you a smile. My approach to this New Year is living more simply and putting more emphasis on the ālittle thingsā and the important things in life like kindnessā¦compassionā¦healthā¦familyā¦love of animalā¦charityā¦well I think you get the pictureā¦ So on Saturdayās sharing some fun linksā¦sending someone a smile with a token of my appreciation will be the norm. You can enter the Giveaway by simply leaving a comment. There is another very important facet to Saturdayās Down The Rabbit Holeā¦for EACH comment left The Cottage Marketā¦aka myself and my family will be donating $1 to a deserving charity each week which we will announce and be accountable forā¦so letās leave those comments . Tell us what your favorite things are and spread the love. The Cottage Market is also making a personal pledge to donate 5 percent of our net earnings to Charity this yearā¦itās a way of giving back and that is so very important to us. So come on in an enjoyā¦spread the love and maybe win a little something cool while donating to charity. Scroll on down to see this weeks FUN Giveaway! (rememberā¦blue words are clickable : )
- Vinnie the Bullmastiff
Come and Meet Our Friend Vinnie Cobb! He is a handsome…loving…fabulous dog that is on a mission to do good all through his life! His Family is FABULOUS as you will see if you start following him! His beginnings were horrific…but he is happy and healthy now and on his way to BIGGER things!!! Vinnie was left roped and starved in a yard for 2 years and surrendered to animal control severely underweight at 60 pounds. He had never been on a leash or allowed in the house, with no training or socialization. Vinnie was rescued by the American Bullmastiff Association Rescue Service where we adopted him 4 years ago. With love and training (and healthy food), he is now the poster dog for ABARS. He’s been on the cover of multiple calendars and even has his own booth at pet fairs where he does “Photos with Vinnie” to raise money for his rescue. Vinnie is also in the final phase of becoming a registered therapy dog with the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. GOOD NEWS…VINNIE Graduated!!! Show the world your stuff big boy!!! - What does YOUR state hate???

- Love a product that gives back to help Shelter Pets! Rescued Wine repurposed wine bottle candles and products are handmade in Truckee, California. They aspire to repurpose wine bottles with new life and to give back to animal rescue groups with a portion of every sale. Each of their soy candles are inspired by wine and hand-poured to perfection. Their mission is to give back to animal rescue groups with a portion of each sale from their repurposed wine bottle candles and products. Therefore, each and every wine bottle recycled serves a purpose! Cheers to that!
- I was at the Farmerās Market this week and came across some grapes I had never had(cotton candy…moon drop…gum drop)ā¦of course we had to give them a tryā¦WOW what a POP of flavorā¦if you ever see these at your Marketā¦pick some upā¦but donāt share them with your doggie ā¦grapes are toxic to them! The kids however will flip over them!
Charity of the Week: No More Pain Rescue (instagram)
No More Pain Rescue is dedicated to helping animals in need. Whether they are dogs, cats, ferrets, goats, or pigs, if we’re able to rescue them we will. We are a non-profit group of 4 people who love animals and without the help of all our supporters and their donations, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. 100% of these profits go to the medical care and well-being of each and every one of the animals we rescue. We can’t thank you enough for you continued support and we start this amazing and rewarding (sometimes heartbreaking) journey!
