Welcome to this weeks episode of Down The Rabbit Hole! Can you believe it is the Second Saturday in September all ready!!! I am thrilled that you are joining us today. You never know where each link will lead you and where you will go next Down The Rabbit Hole is also a place to give back…for every comment you make a dollar is donated to the Charity of the Week and then we top it all with a little Giveaway that also benefits Animal Rescues : ) So it is a win win win!!! Today our Charity is St. Hubert’s in New Jersey. St. Hubert’s has lent a HELPING PAW to 78 and counting furry friends from the Horrific Harvey Hurricane in Texas. They need help to help more pets so they are this weeks Charity and we are making each comment worth $5 again this week for maximum help…this is on top of our own personal contribution. So let’s raise some more $’s leave a fun comment! Our friends in Texas need our help and I know that we have tons of Animal Lovers here so this is where we have focused our help! You can also donate on your own and the link is below by our feature. Anything you can donate would help them… from $1 and beyond. On the rescue front…many rescues from all of the country are stepping up to help Houston! I applaud every one of them. A big thank you to the Red Cross for being there for everyone. Let’s hope and pray that all settles soon so all of these people can get back to rebuilding their lives. My heart is with every pet that has been misplaced…my wish for them is to get that chance on a second life. Let’s help them out ok. Love to you all and thank you for being who you are.

My son works for Amazon. he doesn’t have a dog, but enjoys the visits from the ones his coworkers bring. The buildings on the main campus in Seattle have names and he used to work in Rufus, named for the first dog!

Thank you for another worthy animal charity to add to my list. Bless everyone who is helping all the victims of this horrible storm, and thank you for keeping a current list of all the charities on your Saturday blog. I am sometimes off the grid for awhile, and this helps me (and I’m sure others) to stay current on what we’ve missed. Thank you to you and your family for your hard work and warm hearts.

I feel so much sympathy for Texans who had to leave their pets behind and for those pets! Imagine shelters all over the country taking in these lost pets. People amaze me everyday, and this is a super nice thing you’re doing, Andrea. You rock!
Andrea says
Oh Laurel…my heart bleeds for everyone and I hope and pray that no one had to leave them behind …I just could not imagine… I wish I won the lottery and then they wouldn’t have to look for funding because I would give them all of it! You take care now…sending tons of hugs and wishes for a wonderful day.
