Welcome to this weeks episode of Down The Rabbit Hole! Fall is finally here and I for one can’t wait to enjoy the cool weather! How about you? I am thrilled that you are joining us today. You never know where each link will lead you and where you will go next. Down The Rabbit Hole is also a place to give back…for every comment you make a dollar is donated to the Pet Charity of the Week and then we top it all with a little Giveaway that also benefits Animal Rescues …the mug gives 35 meals back to rescue: ) So it is a win win win!!! Our Animal Charity this week is The Sato Project in Puerto Rico. We all know what Hurricane Maria has done to Puerto Rico…horrifying! The people and the animals of this Island of America needs so much help…more than you can ever even imagine…every dollar helps. The Sato Project is on the ground trying to save every single dog that they can get to safety. They need our help…please comment…it will be worth $5 instead of one and that is on top of the standard $25 a week donations. So leave those comments…share the post with friends. We not only want to help these charities…we want to spread the word about them…so more people are aware of them and hopefully will gravitate towards some of them with donations of some sort …either with $’s or volunteering. Let’s make a difference TOGETHER!!! New week will be featuring an Animal Rescue that one of our regular readers has requested…I LOVE that there is interaction here…if you have a request…please feel free to share.

Charity of the Week: The Sato Project
H U R R I C A N E M A R I A made landfall in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, the exact location of Dead Dog Beach where The Sato Project has focused our rescue efforts for the past 6 years. It brought 155 mph winds, huge storm surges, and torrential rain and flooding that have pummeled the island into submission. The mayor of Yabucoa has issued a statement that 99% of its municipal buildings have been destroyed. The Sato Project is mobilizing to provide supplies and support to our team on the ground in Puerto Rico, and to transport as many dogs as we can to safety in the coming days and weeks. Your gift will help us ensure that countless animals are not left behind to suffer on their own during the long road to recovery ahead.

Not only is your blog entertaining, but you also do so much good, plus, you provide your readers with an opportunity to help. Sounds like a trifecta of goodness, thanks!
Andrea says
Thank you so much Susan for the kind words…I so appreciate that. A Trifecta is a good thing : ) I just love spreading the word and hopefully gaining other people that want to support one or any of these wonderful rescues. Spreading the word is a good thing : ) Thank you so much for visiting each week…sending you tons of hugs and love and wishes for a wonderful day filled with all things good!
Debra says
I definitely want to support The Sato Project, especially since my pets, family and I recently went through Hurricane Irma (why I’ve been MIA on comments on your blog). These events are so difficult for people and pets; your help will be appreciated. On the bright side, I now have plenty of wood debris from twigs to logs to use for crafts!
Andrea says
Hi Debra! How are you? I am so so so sorry that you were effected by that horrible Hurricane. Are you ok…much damage to your home? I am just happy to hear that you are ok. We have another reader Nancy who lives in Puerto Rico who wrote hours before the hurricane struck asking for prayers. I am sick about it…have not heard a word from her…just hoping that it is because they have to power or internet. Thank you so much for supporting the Sato Project…they need as much help as they can get to help those precious pups…thank you for your kindness. I would love to see what you create with all of your wood debris…I guess you can say it is super distressed Sending tons of hugs and love to you and yours and thank God you are all right. Wishes for a wonderful day!
