Well we are back for yet another Collection of Unique and Whimsical Farmhouse Thrift Store Makeovers. Can you believe that our Blogger friends just keep coming up with new and excited Thrift Store creations. Such talent out there and I love searching for it all. This week you will find a fabulous Industrial Farmhouse Rolling Cart…a Whimsical Teapot Chime… and upcycled piece of Canvas Art you will adore and so much more! So grab that cup of your favorite brew and grab a little snack (something you love)…sit back…chill for a bit and enjoy! I bet you are going to have some fabulous ideas of your own once you check these out. Hope you have fun CREATING!
If you happen to come across and canvas print at your Local Thrift Store like Sara from TwelveOnMain did…snatch it up…because you can make your own fabulous Sign and Sara shows you how…she’s waiting to show you.
This creative piece has tons of Farmhouse charm. See how Marie from Interior Frugalista turns a Thrift Store Teapot and Silverware into a fabulous Whimsical Teapot Wind Chime! This could for sure go into the kitchen.
Angie over at Knick Of Time is always creating something new and farmtastic with her Thrift Store Finds. Todays project surrounds around a old Flour Tin…now watch as she turns it into a fantastic Farmhouse Side Table. You can follow her tutorial…but if you happen to have maybe a Milk Can or some other vessel…her DIY will work for those too. Enjoy!
Amanda from The Kolb Corner had a mission. She wanted to make an Herb Drying Rack…so when she went to her Thrift Store she kept an eye out for something that would work and she found a decoupaged shelf that she knew would be fun to work with. Come and see how she transformed this once…not so attractive piece into a beautiful Herb Drying Rack. She also teaches a good lesson…sometime you need to go into the Thrift Store with a purpose…a plan and then the items look different to you. But of course impulse is ALWAYS great! Oh…one thing to always remember…chalk paint and chalk board paint =’s Farmhouse lol!
Michelle from Michelle J. Designs is going to show you how to make a Farmhouse Kitchen Sign with a Thrifted piece of framed art! Enjoy!
Kim over at Reinvented is going to make it impossible for you to pass by embroidery hoops (really she is) because once you see these Pottery Style Farmhouse Orbs you are going to want to make more and more of them! Now just in case you can’t find these at your Thrift Shop…I am sure you know there are tons and tons of them in all different sizes at your craft store.
Who knew a simple piece of barn wood could become a wonderful air plant planter. It’s so quick and easy and you will find that out over at Duct Tape and Denim. You are going to want more than one for sure. Keep your eyes peeled for old Barnwood.
Ok…this is not exactly a DIY…but a great Thrift Lesson is learned from Kathleen over at Our Hopeful Home! Sometimes the piece that you bring home from the Thrift Store does not need to be upcycled. Even though we have visions of glory…sometimes things are best left as they are…you just have to have a good eye like she did with this mirror. She had her paint can ready but stopped and realized…it was perfect as is! Love how she stylized it with the Farmhouse Galvanized planters!
Larissa from Prodigal Pieces has such insight…really…she is like a Thrift Store Item Whisperer. Come and see what I mean as she turns an old Changing Table into an Industrial Rolling Cart. It is fabulous! Visit her for tons and tons of inspiration and diys!
As always here at The Cottage Market we would like to send out tons of APPAWS and APPLAUSE to all of our blogger friends for sharing their talents and creativity with us! We want them to know that they are appreciated and loved. You are going to adore exploring their blogs for more outstanding DIY’s and inspiration. As always…ENJOY & CREATE!
Want to stay in the know? I’d really love that! (((HUGS))) |

Just had a blast from the past. Those canisters sitting on the herb dryer in The Kolb Corner are a set I used to have in the 70’s. Guess I did Farm House 40 years ago!
