So pour yourself a cup of your favorite brew…stir it with a candy cane…kick your feet up…chill and enjoy. Sure hope one of these will grab you and inspire to create your very own version.
What would you do with some broken chairs and tables? How about spindles? Well I think that the best EVER answer is over at Debi’s Design Diary & DIY. She made Christmas Ornaments and they are Farmtastic! Come and see how simple these are to make. I am dreaming of an entire tree of these beauties!
What do you think Sarah from Sadie Seasongoods made with her Thrift Store Flannel Shirt and Thrift Store Straw Wreath? She created a warm and cozy Winter Farmhouse Wreath that looks like it walked out of a boutique! It’s so easy and she shows you exactly how to make one of your very own!
When you are shopping through those aisles at the Thrift Shop…keep your eyes peeled for those old board games…be sure to snatch them up…especially those Scrabble Games because there is an amazing Christmas Tree waiting to be born. Come and see how KariAnne over at Thistlewood Farms created this adorable piece of Christmas Art…so easy…so farmhouse…so fresh!
Sarah from Sadie Seasongoods has so many incredible Thrift Store Creations and this Farmhouse Style Merry-Go-Round Vintage Postcard Carousel is simply amazing! She took her Habitat ReStore Find and turned it into a Vintage Farmhouse Masterpiece! Even if you can find a piece like this…you probably could make one out of a dowel…4 frames and a base! Then add Thrift Store Vintage Postcard or Card finds!
Elaine…the creator of Heart Rocks In My Pocket found a $2 globe at her Thrift Shope and now it is bringing JOY to her world! Come and see how she transformed this piece into a Christmas heirloom!
If you find fun and pretty sweaters for a good price at the Thrift Shop…scoop them up and then come on over to Imperfect Home Making and see how easy it is to transform them into fantastic Stocking for good Ole Saint Nick to fill! You can even make smaller ones to hide cash gifts in. Enjoy!
When you see Tea diffusers at the Thrift Shop snatch them up even if you do not make tea because Sara from Sadie Seasongoods is going to show you how to make the most precious ornaments that you can use all year round in your Farmhouse!
If you have picked up some Thrift Store Jewelry and collected a nice bit…The Farmers Only Daughter has an idea for you…how about mounting them on let’s say velvet and create a sparkling Christmas Tree piece of art! Drop by to check it out.
A Girl And A Glue Gun is going to give you MANY reasons to snatch up those Flannel Shirts at your Thrift Shop. Have fun!!!
Ok…technically this is not a “Thrift Store Makeover” but they could be made with a Thrifted Shirt! The real reason I wanted to share this with you is because it is one of the sweetest little things I have ever seen and one that stole my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Visit Diane over at In My Own Style and she will show you how she pays tribute to her Father’s Memory by making these Sweet Ornaments from his favorite shirt…could it get more heartwarming. Maybe you have an angel in your life and wanted to know what to do with a favorite piece of clothing…well this is a picture perfect idea. These would also be wonderful to share so everyone has a treasured memory for their tree each year. I just really wanted to plant this idea into your heads because it is just too good not to share! On the flip side…little Thrift Shirt Hearts with Pockets on the tree filled with cash would be pretty wonderful too! ENJOY!
Once and awhile you fall upon some pretty Enamel Ware at the local Thrift Shop …if you do…come on over to BHG and check out their Inspirational Collection on how to use it and display it…Farmhouse Style! NEVER pass up Enamel Ware…I think it my actually be a Mortal Sin lol!!!
If you happen upon a Rusty Dust Pan in the Thrift Shop…just know that there is a Vintage Style Christmas Decoration in there waiting to be born…like this one created by Angie over at Knick Of Time.
