I don’t know about everyone else… but we spend a good amount of quality Family Time in the Kitchen… how about you? So it is no wonder we like to make it as welcoming… warm… friendly and functional as possible. But let’s face it… many of us have big time budget restrictions and sometimes no budget at all! So… the reason I like to share spaces like this is to inspire your and give you little ideas that you might be able to implement in your own home. It could be as simple as a basket filled with artichokes to hardwood flooring your ceiling. Just check out the different Kitchens and concentrate on the different elements and maybe you can change things up a bit and not break the bank. Let’s start our journey of Dream Kitchen Gazing with the Queen of Farmhouses very own personal creation. Joanna’s favorite color combination will come as no surprise… it’s black and white and works flawlessly! This Kitchen is gorgeous… light… roomy… welcoming and so easily navigated. The beams and the floor are that perfect Farmhouse touch that brings the whole space together. Oh yes… you can never go wrong with white subway tiles… am I right! You might not be able to do everything… but maybe some subway tile or some faux or real beams might be in the forecast???

My heart skips a beat every time I see this beauty! It is Modern Farmhouse perfect. You can come and witness the entire makeover of this Kitchen… when you see the before you will totally appreciate the after even more. There is a ton of inspiration waiting for you. My favorite element of this beauty is the Tile Hounds Tooth pattern with the rug accent. So unique and will last a life time. The accessories bring the space to life like the white washed brick… then open shelving… the wood vent cover and for the modern touch… the geometric lighting. Check out all the details and be inspired… open shelving is a wonderful tool for a Kitchen Artist… the possibilities are literally endless what you can do with them… from a vintage tin collection… to colored glass in all different shapes and sizes… to a teapot arrangement that Alice would be envious of… or how about your Grandmothers Salt and Pepper collection… the list goes on!!! ENJOY!!!

Talk about a cozy… friendly… warm and wonderful Farmhouse Kitchen. Liz Marie sure has a talent when it comes to creating a loving environment. I think everything cooked in this space is extra sweet don’t you! Liz talks about her choices and how the Kitchen came together. Liz uses a lot of open shelving a Farmhouse Style accessories and dishware to enhance the look! She also covers in other posts on how she changes things up too! Is that Island DREAMY or what! When you are looking for a unique island… think out the box… a dresser you might find at a Flea Market or Goodwill just might be the ticket! Adding Industrial Metals to the space…
European Farmhouse Kitchen – Gcan
Well we did say we were exploring Dream Kitchens and this one sure tops that list. Talk about a room setting a mood. It has such European flair! Check out those beams… WOW! It’s all about the details throughout the entire room… the sliding ladders… those fabulous stools and let’s not leave out the AMAZING Island… it literally can become a gathering space for an entire family or group of friends and family. Just think about all the things you can make and serve there! Let’s face it… for many of us… this Kitchen is not in the stars… but you can take little elements and apply it to your room and I know that will make you smile! Enjoy looking around! (I think every island should have some open shelving don’t you.
Whimsical Cottage Farmhouse Kitchen with a Modern Touch – Alison Kandler
This Kitchen is certainly calling my names. It is fresh… fun… whimsical… unique… colorful and inviting! Let’s take a closer look. The floor… I LOVE it for two reasons… first the chose to keep the original floor and work with it instead of ripping it up and starting new… very environmentally active and oh so imaginative! Then they created something with a totally new look that works incredibly well and sets the mood for the whole space! (if you ever come across a wood floor that you think might not be feasible any more… remember this painting technique… it could come in handy.) Then there are other details like the Barn Red Island one the Scalloped trim on the Oven Hood. How about the window seat with the bright yellow cover plus the open shelving with the pretty color dishes! This is almost like being in Grandma’s Kitchen with all of the modern conveniences… this space has heart! Hope you enjoy. I played “I Spy With My Little Eyes” when I first looked at this space… why don’t you try it… bet you will find something that you can do to your space in a snap… bet you can shop your own home for some things to use! Dream Farmhouse Kitchen – Decorates
What a wonderful space this is and the island is magnificent (think of all the storage while we are dreaming). There are many elements that you can add to your Kitchen to get “the look”. One of the hottest trends in home painting is Black Trim and WOW does it work here… have you ever thought of adding it? A touch of greenery also adds that airy feeling (green is always a wonderful thing to add!) Adding a Mirror is also a great item to add to your Kitchen Wall Decor… even a Mirror Gallery Wall. The dark floors add a great contrast also. Use your imagination and some of these ideas and you will be surprised how small changes make such a big difference.
Greenhouse Kitchen – One Kind Design
Had to share this Farmhouse Kitchen with you and I truly don’t have any ideas on how to capture this look on a budget! I do have to say though… having a gorgeous Kitchen in a Greenhouse sure is fabulous! Just thought you all would enjoy this! I know it’s not the same… but there are Greenhouse windows that can be installed where one of your regular windows are… I have seen them and what an incredible place to grow an herb garden!!!
Americana House Farmhouse Kitchen – Magnolia
First thing to do is look UP… do you love the hardwood floor ceiling (I do). Leave it to Joanna Gaines to always be thinking out of the box. This space has a Rustic but very Modern Farmhouse feel… it’s like everything you are looking for in a Farmhouse Kitchen. Once again… not everyone can afford something like this… but it’s all about changing things up a little bit and maybe a new ceiling could be just what you have been looking for… or maybe a hounds tooth subway tile back splash or maybe glass globe pendant lights. Even new chairs can make a huge difference with the look and how you feel about your space. It’s all about what makes you and your family happy.
The Scrivano House – Magnolia
Oh… this Kitchen space is totally dream worthy… when you see all the other photos you too will see the space is a complete dream. Seeing it from a different perspective will show you all of the little features that are amazing. The Breakfast Nook is the cutest… the floor is incredible… the build in is stunning… the Kitchen section is beautiful (but it could be a little bigger… I think I might have given up the built in for a large cabinet area? how about you?)
