I asked a simple question on my Distressed Cottage Facebook page the other day… Do you love exposed brick? Well after 600+ likes and 101 comments…I think I got my answer! YES!!!! So, as you may have guessed all ready …today’s post shines a spotlight on
Exposed Brick.
I have been seeing exposed brick just about everywhere lately and the more I see…the more I love it. It works with all kinds of styles. It’s an amazing way to add a distinct personality to a space.
One thing is for sure…I love looking at all the different ways it is used and I know you do too…so let’s take a peek!
Loving the richness of this room. The light natural toned brick accented with the deep wood molding and beamed ceiling creates a rustic elegance. Combined with a neutral palette of eclectic furnishing…it is really a wonderful room.
A little nook with books…love it!
An eclectic blend that seamlessly comes together.
A fabulous accent wall that gives the space that wonderfully open feeling!
Many older apartments and condos have brick walsl and when some stunning artwork is added and other whimsical accessories…it just makes a space come alive!
Exposed beams coupled with exposed brick and wooden floors is the perfect canvas for a fresh modern space with an industrial flair.
Many factories…warehouses and other industrial spaces are being converted into apartment and condo dwellings and many come with exposed brick walls! I love seeing how different people put a personal spin on things.
Loving the molding and white beams coupled with the exposed brick…the room has so much charm.
Once again the beautiful white columns in this house featured on Opal Design Group are the perfect accent with the stunning exposed brick!
Here is an eclectic modern space showing that any style can morph together with exposed brick!
Regardless if the brick is originally part of the home or if it is laid afterwards as an accent…it adds a great punch to even the smallest of spaces.
I have to tell you that this loft makes my heart skip a beat…of course the building is over the top fabulous with it’s architectural brilliance…the exposed brick is amazing and the decor is fun with an eclectic whimsy!
No matter the shade of brick…it adds style!
A perfect look for the cottage chic lovers!
Wonderful for the eclectic cottage fans!
The perfect backdrop for a bed.
Adore how brick accents this freshly painted kitchen with a beadboard back splash!
Weathered White + Brick =’s fabulous!
Not in love with painting brick…but in this cottage eclectic bathroom…it is perfect!
life as a moodboard shares some beautiful distressed cottage looks and this was one I had to share! I am always amazed at how something so weathered and work can look so amazing with the right company : )
Exposed brick can create a WOW factor!
A great backdrop for a statement wall!
This is a post that could go on for an eternity! There are so many gorgeous rooms highlighting exposed brick…we will visit them again some time soon…but for now…hope you had fun and maybe some exposed brick is in your future?
I am looking at wikiHow …it shares a lot of information on how to expose existing brick in your home if you have it…it is very informative.
Then of course you can always add a bit of brick! Or you can just have fun looking : )

I just love the look of exposed brick! In my last house I “fauxed” brick on a wall, loved it but it just wasn’t the same as the real stuff.

Count me in! I LOVE exposed brick!
There’s something magical about it. You can dress is up, or dress it down.
Whatever backdrop it takes on is always stunning!
Thanks so much for sharing so many beautiful photos!
I hope you’re having a great week,
Suzanne
