Cottage Style on Martha’s Vineyard and a Star Couple!
I really wanted to share this sweet cottage located in
Martha’s Vineyard. I was visiting Country Living and this wonderful little cottage caught my eye.
It’s sweet a wonderful getaway or permanent residence and it happens to owned by
Tony Shalhoub (aka…Monk) and his actress wife Brooke Adams.
I found it really refreshing that a famous couple can enjoy the simple things of life… plus I knew all of your would really enjoy a peek into this lovely place…as I would say…it is
COTTAGE Fresh!!!!
Let’s start with the quaint home…take a look at the vintage metal furniture in the front! Don’t you feel relaxed and happy all ready! This shingled salt box sits on 6 acreas.
The Dining Room is very casual and relaxed. A fresh bouquet of flowers just brings that added love…they are also a perfect match to the rug : ) The wooden floors and beamed white washed ceilings just add more light and that special airy feeling.
I really love the special little touches throughout the cottage…like the stacks of vintage books and having a framed little pieces of art on each step…that is an idea I know that will be tucked in my files!
Isn’t this a sweet and cozy corner! The chest was purchased at a flea market and the cushions are sewn from table linens. I see two horseshoes for luck too!
The Kitchen is light and uplifting. The couple added bead board fronts to the cabinets for and yummy mint green counter tops! What a view…I think I might enjoy doing dishes there!
How is this for a quaint Kids Room!
The furniture was built by Brooke’s sister and then Brooke herself sewed the curtains and shams. I do believe picket fencing makes a very cute bed frame.
If you would like to see more of this simple…charming…fresh…fun…quaint and cute cottage…take a visit over to
Country Living and see the rest!
Hope you enjoyed this little tour! I usually compile from all different sources…but this one was just too sweet not to show you all together! : )

What a cute cottage. I am curious if they decorated it or had it done. I hope they did it themselves.
Very sweet!
adore this Andrea!!
What a lovely cottage they have. I like the kids bedroom with the picket fence headboard. And the pictures on the stairs – what a great idea.
Thanks so much for sharing this with us.

When we first purchased our “cottage” across from the waterfront in eastern Ling Island it looked identical to this home. That was 1973 and we expanded it many times but it still looks like a Nantucket house!
Hi there Carol! How are you! I am so happy that this post brought back memories for you! That is always fun! I was happy someone still is looking at the post since it was done 11 years ago in my beginning stages of blogging! I am sure your home is amazing and I wish you all things good in life! Sending wishes for a wonderful week!!! Thanks for dropping by!
