What says Fall and Halloween throughout the world and it is not a pumpkin? You guessed it…it’s Candy Corn! So why not wear this sweet seasonal treat…today’s earring diy craft takes about as much time as it does to eat a few of these yummy treats. DIY CANDY CORN EARRINGS
Here is one of the easiest crafts you will ever do. Relatively no muss or fuss and prepare to make more than one set…they are quick and easy so I think you are going to want to share with friends and family.
You know the wood section of your craft store…where you go to find all the parts for the derby cars and the kids projects? Well there you will find strips of bass wood or balsa wood…that is what I used for the base of the earrings and all you have to do is draw your little kernels of candy corn on to the board the size you would like and then cut them out with a simple exacto blade…this is not a step for children!!!
It’s easy and then you can sand them and when you sand them…round the edges a bit…it takes 1 second and then the piece takes on the candy corn look.
Besides your little wooden kernels of candy corn…you will need post earring findings… jewelry glue or hot glue… paints and a brush.
Once you have the little kernels prepared…get out your little color palette of White…Orange and Yellow and paint them in their candy corn stripes…
Now you can put on your finishing touches…some accent lines if you would like. You can coat them with a clear coat acrylic if you would like…any clear brand will do…Mod Podge works well… it is your choice. Then take your favorite jewelry glue or yes…even hot glue (it sticks perfectly on the wood) and glue on your findings! Voila…
you are done! Ready to wear!
You can also glue them on a ring finding…put a pin finding on the back or even drill a little hole…attach a jump ring and string on a ribbon or a chain for a necklace!
Make many and share with your friends and family.
Great little inexpensive gifts!
Have a Sweet Day!

I was just thinking about this in bed last night only I was thinking of using REAL candy corn! 🙂 I never eat candy corn- don’t like it – but I think they are just so cute and happy.
