So sit back and enjoy…the holiday posts are about to begin…but I will make sure there are your little favorites in between ok : )

My heart is beating so fast and my finger is itching to pin, but I had to stop and tell you how much I loved this post. I love the way vintage things placed about our home causes visitors to have special memories come back to them. You know me – I suggest Ten Things I Love About Rust! :>)))

While I don’t have tons of vintage in my house, two reasons I love it are: 1) definitely a way to keep a bit of your grandma’s around you (not knocking other relatives, but gran’s hold a very special place in my heart, everyone’s gran actually) … all you have to do is say “it was my gran’s and everyone always ooo’s and ah’s, 2) its a way to have fun with items previously treated very seriously, like those trophies in this post that now hold paint brushes and wooden spoons … I’m sure when new they were highly revered “don’t touch” items and today they can bring whimsy and fun to a space.
Have to say I first read this post last night but was certain I read it incorrectly as I was recovering from a migraine and my head gets confused … so I thought I’d reread it this morning and save my comment until now. Um, it still says I’m the winner of the Home Depot card! Thank you magic number picker, Home Depot, and Andrea 🙂 That money will definitely be applied to our super long overdue kitchen facelift that we’ve been debating forever but are very close to getting on with it 🙂 Backsplash tile definitely comes to mind.
Many many thanks. Robin, Happily Home After

Fun to see my collection of trophies again. I created this because I do not have a lot of drawer space . The shelf is right over the most used corner of my kitchen. so much easier to just reach up and grab what I need .
