Hi there my friends, how is everyone.  I have to tell you that I am loving all of the Fall Inspiration that is everywhere, but today I wanted to take a little vacation from all the Autumn festivities and do a fun feature that I know everyone that passes by my blog will enjoy. Today we are going to check out some awesome Thrift Store Makeovers.  You are probably going to want to hop in your car and go to your local Good Will or check out where the next Flea Market is being held …that is how inspired you are going to be.  It never ceases to amaze me how much talent is floating out there in blog land…all I can tell you is there are tons of fabulous upcycled diy’s…great tutorials for your flea market finds…and buckets filled with INSPIRATION!  Let’s take a look!

Over at houzz they are featuring some amazing Thrift Store Makeovers but this one just made me smile.  It is a vintage Milk bottle holder that has magically been transformed into a gorgeous centerpiece…check it out and get many more inspirational ideas for your Thrift Store Finds over at houzz.

Talk about a dreamy makeover…just look at this beautiful dresser that acts as a mantle and a perfect showcase for all seasons.  Right now it is decked out for Fall in the most fabulous array of colors…simply gorgeous.  You need to take a trip over to Perfectly Imperfect…there you will find tons of DIY’s and much needed inspiration and ideas.  This piece is over the top beautiful!

If you happen to see an old chippy ladder against the wall in a thrift shop…or maybe at local garage sale…don’t dismiss it…snatch it up…there are 101 uses for it and here is a little bit of inspiration…how great would this be in the bathroom with an array of towels…you could even hook on a basket to hold other goodies. The vintage suitcase craze is still going strong and I have not yet snatched one up…nor has Junkin Joe!  I do believe that it is because everyone is after them! I just adore this Shabby Cottage Chic creation from Lynn over at Shabby Story.  She has taken a vintage chair and worked her magic on it…all shabbied up in the most delicious chippy way…then she removed the legs and saved them for another project and in the end made the most adorable shelf ever! This would look amazing inside or outside…Lynn shares the full tutorial so check it out…you will never pass up a $2 Thrift Store Chair ever again!

Another little pinspiration goodie for you.  Look at this vintage suitcase made over into a spectacular little tabletop bar.  Just by removing the inside of the top of the suitcase/trunk and then adding shelves and legs…the vintage suitcase transforms into a blast from the past…a bar that has Madmen Style!

Next time you see a cool old tub that has no hope of every holding water…bath salts and bubbles again…remember this little piece of inspiration brought to you by Garage Sale Gal.  Talk about a Thrift Store Makeover.  This beauty was transformed not only into a great coffee table but a planter too…ALL IN ONE and it looks amazing!  Tubs are not just for soaking any more!

You know how I love discarded drawers…I love all the things that you can make out of them and from them.  Never pass them by…never…if you see a stack of them outside on the curb…sloooooow down and go back and snatch them up…even if they are with a dresser and you can’t fit it in the car…get those drawers.  If you see them in the Good Will…Thrift shop…at the Flea Market…any where…make them yours.  Now they can even be broken drawers and they sill make fabulous things as Design*Sponge Shows us…check out these drawer fronts and their pretty knobs for hanging.  How incredible are these…think of the possibilities…you can paint them…wall paper them…give them an awesome treatment…shabby them…chippy them…crackle them and everything else in between…they look amazing and so useful. Now here is a little inspiration just in case you are blessed to find an old steamer trunk at a Thrift Store…Good Will…Flea Market or even Road Side…Just by primping it a bit and adding legs to it…you have a special piece of furniture that can serve so many different purposes!  Here it is being used as a great little bar…just think of all the storage inside too.  The uses are limitless…add your imagination and think of all the things you can use a steamer trunk for…keep your eyes out for one and you just might be showing us your incredible Thrift Store Makeover soon! Now Gina over at The Shabby Creek Cottage is using vintage books from a local Thrift Shop and giving them a fabulous makeover…she turned them into the most awesome Book Lamp and she share the complete DIY with us.  You are going to look at those old books in a new way for sure.  Also…how cool would it be if you made one for someone with their favorite book titles…ummmm…awesome!  So check it out…these would make great holiday gifts.

Here is a Thrift Store Makeover that will have your doggie howling!!!!!  It is so cute and looks adorable in a vintage or cottage decor…well I think it would look great anywhere.  The DIY is over at the awesome dog milk blog (animal lovers BEWARE…this site is awesome!!!!)  So if you see an old vintage crate…snatch it up…your pup will thank you for it.

Liz Marie from the Liz Marie Blog had her eye on a cool chair at Lowes and when she saw it…she knew she had the perfect chair waiting for her at home to do an incredible Makeover.  It turned out fabulously and she shares how she did it…you have to hop over there to see the before too…you will have fun for sure!  Keep your eyes peeled for those chairs…the Thrift Store Makeover works wonders for them all!

Pinspiration Time once again!  I am nuts over vintage hardware and door knobs and plates are at the HEAD of the list.  Just look what they can do for an average piece of furniture…is your head exploding with ideas or WHAT!!!!  I Just adore the way they look and can think of 101 different things I can use these on…now I have to hit the mother lode at a Flea Market or Junkin Joe has to hunt his haunts 🙂 Be inspired!!!

There are tons and tons of Thrift Shop Makeovers you can do with old doors but I thought you would enjoy these great door headboard makeovers!  They are really wonderful and go with so many different decors…each one that is created is unique and has such personality.  Thank you inulgy for featuring them. If you are lucky enough to find a beautiful piece of molding like this one…wow are you fortunate…I don’t think it is possible for this not to look amazing but the great shabby paint treatment and the addition of hooks is a great little makeover for this beauty.   Thank you BHG for sharing this great inspiration.  Oh and if you are fortunate enough to find a great vintage bench like the one in this picture…SCORE!!!  It can take on any decor and personality with the right paint treatment.

Have you ever visited the awesome site called Gadget Sponge?  If you answered no…you MUST go there and drink from their full cup of inspiration!  You will be amazed at what you are going to see.  Talk about Thrift Store Makeovers…Flea Market Find Makeover and just Makeovers…they will astound you.  Check out thes old vintage dresser and see how they gave it a vintage blueprint and yardstick makeover…Now think about other items that you can use like paps…vintage photos and the list goes on…it is mind blowing and you are just going to love the creativity at this great site!

Ok…Poppytalk is another one of my favorite place to visit…I love it there…so when I saw what they did with Flea Market and Thrift Store finds…I nearly flipped!  They accumulated a bunch of vintage pots and baking pans and tins and made these incredible lights…just look at them all…check out the different light bulbs…the varying looks and designs…it’s a visual Smorgasborg!  Inspiring or WHAT!!!!

What do you get when you find some old wine crates at the Thrift Shop??? Well if you add a wooden applique…a great paint treatment and some cool knobs…you get some really interesting Jewelry Display Boxes.  They would look great on your wall and for those of you that sell jewelry and do shows…these would look sensational on your table or both…you can stack the…line them up…hang them…whatever your heart desires and they will really spot light your craftsmanship!

Oh…wait till you see this adorable project!  If you have a little one in your life…this would be a BIG HIT!!!!  It isn’t a hard ticket to fill at a Flea Market or Thrift Store…they usually have some kind of end table that you can adapt to this adorable play stove.  Drop by Vintage Songbird and get the DIY!

    So many great and CREATIVE ideas! Love the suitcase coffee table. I was disappointed that I was unable to find the yardstick blueprint dresser at GadgetSponge. It is an incredible upcycle!
