So happy to see you all today…we have a bit of Magic and Enchantment for you…what could this be you ask? It is a collection of DIY Fair Gardens…it doesn’t get more Magical than these little beauties! They are every where you look and continue to be a huge trend that I think is going to be around forever! Even one of our most favorite people here at The Cottage Market is creating them…can you take a guess who? Well it is the one and only Joanna Gaines…our Fixer Upper Queen. Wait till you see her precious little beauty. There are many others that you will fall in love with. So if you are looking to add a touch of whimsy to a special space indoors or out…I know you need to make a Fairy Garden. You can make some like these or combine all that you learn and weave your own Fairy Garden Dream! Get the kids involved…trust me they will love it. One thing is for sure…you will be transported to a very happy place when you are creating this little work of love! I personally am looking forward to buying the little pretties that adorn it…a little blue Fairy is on the top of my list! ENJOY friends!!!
The first Magical Garden was magically planted by our friend Joanna Gaines…when you visit Magnolia Blog Joanna fills you in on this DIY and also shares the names of some plants that are picture perfect for these cute little planters! You are going to love it!
I found this little cutie in my searches and even though it was on eBay I had to share it with you because it is just too stinkin cute lol! It’s perfect for so many of you here at The Cottage Market because so many of you love to upcycle and this little cutie is in an upcycled suitcase…I hear how excited you are : ) Empress of Dirt shares some tips and I am sure the visuals will set your imagination off and running! Have fun!
I love this take on the Fairy Garden…it’s a Fairy Terrarium by Mrs. Ferguson. She is going to fill you in on how you can create your own special Fairy world in a glass container! How sweet is this. I would love to see this in a little girls room…it would be magical but then again…I think it would look amazing just about anywhere! Get the DIY and start planting.
Do you have a broken Terra Cotta Pot or two? Well if you don’t…I have to be totally honest with you…I would buy new ones…do a patina treatment on them and break them to have this little pretty on my porch. I am crushing on this one that I found over at Refreshing The Home…I almost feel as though I was transported to a side cobblestone road in Florence…I wish that there was a complete DIY on this…but you will find suggestions and inspiration and I hope you will be inspired to create your very own. So many gorgeous Fairy Gardens do not come with a step by step…I so wish they did…but I have a feeling that you will be able to recreate this from the visual inspiration…this one was just too beautiful not to share!
I really love the idea of this Herb Fairy Garden by Organized Clutter. She used an old split wine barrel as her base and also upcycled tons of old kitchen items…but of course you can make it in any style you would like…a pretty little castle…some magical gnomes…it is limitless! What I love about this is that it is an herb garden and I worship fresh herbs : ) So having a fairy garden that I can flavor my next pot of Veggie Soup with…well that is just a bonus. You will enjoy this DIY and I know you will have fun creating it!
Well those that know me probably guessed that I would sneak a little Fairy Garden in here that is Faux : ) You know…for people like me with black thumbs! Come on…is this little Teacup Fairy Garden made by Vanessa over at See Vanessa Craft ADORABLE or what! All of you Thrifters out there have tons of vintage china tea cups…you know you do : ) Wouldn’t you love to use one for one of these cuties! Well you can and it will stay like that forever. There is a step by step DIY waiting for you and you are going to love it. Put your own spin on it…have tons of fun and remember…Mother’s Day is coming soon and I bet any special lady in your life would adore one of these!
Over at Midwest Living they are featuring a fabulous little Fairy Garden that will totally inspire you…once again the upcycled drawer makes an appearance (don’t you just love what you can do with an old drawer…limitless ideas for up cycling them…love it!) So hop on over and be inspired and remember to snatch up old drawers wherever you can : ) You never know when you are going to need them.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this one! How precious is this creation by Beth over at Unskinny Boppy. 3 Tiers of Fairy Fun but you can use whatever you have or maybe you can create a tiered structure by up cycling pretty bowls with candle sticks in-between…or maybe even tea cups as dividers…so many possibilities! Beth is going to share how she created this one and then you can take off from that…trust me you will get tons of inspiration! You can go faux or add live succulents or little plants…the sky is the limit. I know I have a piece from the Thrift Shop that will be perfect for this DIY…can’t wait to try it! ENJOY Friends! Be Creative! Have FUN!
