Just a week ago…we had a post on Farmhouse Porches That Say Sit A Spell… well you loved it so much…there is a new Collection Today of Flower Pots That Will Make Your Porch Farmtastic! I have a feeling that these imaginative ideas will get your imagination wheels spinning. Each Porch has an interesting and unique way of displaying flowers…from baskets to enamel pails…to upcycled creations and much more. So if you are looking to find a new and unique home for your gorgeous blooms…you just might find what you have been looking for right here. Farmhouse Charm is Guaranteed. So grab that tall glass of Iced Tea…sit out on your porch and check these ideas out! : )
How amazing does this array of plants look…what brings them all together in perfect harmony are simple baskets! I love it because in many cases you don’t even have to repot the plant…it just slips right in the basket and looks Farmhouse Spectacular. So simple over at Mester Gronn!
Yvonne over at StoneGable is always creating the “perfect porch” with her unique and eclectic Farmhouse Style. This gorgeous blue and white flower pot holding red geraniums just brings the whole porch together and gives it a pop of color in the best possible way. Experiment with your flower pots…they don’t even have to be “flower pots” …there are so many other containers…vases…glasses and such that will work brilliantly when planted. If you happen to have a Home Goods in your area…I highly suggest hopping over there because I see so many unique shaped vases and stuff that will make your imagination run wild. Also if you have an Asian Markets around you…a GREAT place to find unique finds!
Over at Top Dreamer it shows you that thinking outside the box is a “good thing”. Put your thinking cap on and think about all kinds of things that could hold plants…items that you can actually plant in and you will be surprised what you come up with. I do highly recommend that you always add drainage or at least a level of gravel at the bottom : ) How farmtastic do these watering cans look with these pretty blooms!
Jen over at City Farmhouse gives her porch a Contemporary Farmhouse look and she adds plants in fun ways…here you see one in a simple weathered wooden box…it adds charm and a Farmhouse Flair! She also uses baskets that you will see when you visit!
This pin shows us that a Vintage Milk Can could be exactly what your Farmhouse Porch needs. It doesn’t get much more charming that this.
Now KariAnne over at Thistlewood Farms had made herself some planters that are so Farmhouse Fresh you will want to make them yourself and you are in luck because she shares her tutorial. What Farmhouse doesn’t love a fun Topiary…but of course these would look amazing with just about any plant combination you can think of! Kari says that these cost about $30 to make…you would have to spend in about $150 if you purchased it from a Garden Center. This could be exactly what your porch is crying out for! Enjoy!
Ann over at On Sutton Place always seems to know how to give her space and in this case porch a fabulous Farmhouse Touch. This time she is using Olive Bucket Planters…how incredible do they look (inside and out). Just place your favorite plants inside and voila!
Over at Little Farmstead you will find a few Porch Ideas…I personally am loving this one…just use simple Galvanized Buckets…it’s that simple…you can find them in the aisles of your Hardware Store or just about any other store. You don’t need anything fancy to get that Farmhouse Look. Clustering them works amazing well to create a Farmtastic Drama on your Front Porch.
These fabulous Criss Cross Planters would look sensational on any porch…but with their special design they were meant to give a Farmhouse Look…How about in a deep rich wood stain as an alternative? Centsational Girl is sharing her tutorial with you …who knows…this could be your weekend project : )
Oh I have to say that this is one of my favorites! Leave it to Ann over at On Sutton Place to a Vintage Tin Picnic Basket as a planter. It’s so fresh…so Farmhouse…so fabulous! Now…just put on your thinking caps…think about all the stuff that is waiting for you on those Thrift Store Shelves. Ann also uses a white Enamel Pan for a planter which his sheer brilliance. Drop by and have a cup of cold lemonade on her porch…great ideas for that “Patriotic” look!
This is one of my favorite planter projects ever. It is just so clever and I do believe that Kelly Elko was one of the first to create one of these beauties! I have always loved it since I saw it for the first time. As you can see Kelly creates the whole Farmhouse experience by mixing this planter vignette up with a Galvanized Pail Planter…a Watering Can Planter and she even tucks a Vintage Milk Box under the Dresser! If you want to make one of these…she is sharing the simple DIY…please check with her before planting…she shows how the drawers have to be treated : ) Just think of the Farmtastic Possibilities. Are you suddenly getting the urge to visit the Thrift Shop??? Enjoy!
Do you want a simple…inexpensive but Fabulous Farmhouse Planter for your Porch? They drop by Balcony Web and learn how easy it is to make a Chair Planter. You know you can pick up all kinds of chairs for $5 or less at the Thrift Shops! You can paint them…weather them…stain them…etc…you can make them fit any style or color! Loving this look for a Farmhouse Porch…a weathered white wash that is incredible. Every Farmhouse Porch should have one of these!
