Well no matter what the Month or Week we will have a brand new What’s New in Farmhouse This week! Volume 34. Each week I visit tons of Farmhouse Blogs and snatch up some new and exciting DIYS … Tours … Makeovers and more to share with you. I think you are really going to enjoy this weeks collection…from the color Navy to How to Decorate with Less and so much more. I really enjoyed this post by Yvonne over at StoneGable. She shares her theory “when less is best”. I know you will get a lot out of it too including some fresh decorating ideas.
Who ever said that Boho wouldn’t mix with Farmhouse? Not Lauren over at Bless’er House! Boho Vases are a huge thing right now…you see them everywhere. So Lauren was inspired to make her own (yes…she made these gorgeous vases you are looking at) and the best thing is…she is sharing her DIY so you can make them too. You have to visit for the DIY and to see the Amazing Farmhouse Style Halloween Entryway…the crystal skull is over the top fabulous. I know that a few of these beauties are in my near future…how about you?
I have been wondering for while now what colors I am going to use to redo my cabinets. The longer I think the more confused I get. So as I was searching with new Farmhouse Goodies for all of you I made my regular stop over at Craftberry Bush (love it there) and I saw that Lucy did a little change-up in her Kitchen…She painted her gorgeous Kitchen Island a Navy Blue and it is spectacular. I shall search no longer for that color combo…white on top and navy on the bottom…thanks Lucy and adorable Pup! Come and see what one color can do for your decor. See what the island looked before (still gorgeous of course) and then when it got its navy redo! Let me know what you think of the combination.
I am making one more stop at the Lovely Lucy’s! I truly related to her feelings in the post. She is with heavy heart with all of the tragedies that have been happening around the world and I certainly know her pain. She also feels guilty showing pretty pictures and such and I understand that 10 fold. But on the flip side…pretty things bring a little bit of joy into lives…so she is sharing her beautiful Fall Flower Arrangement today that just might make you smile and keep your sanity. Come and enjoy her creation and be happy for a bit. Thank you Lucy for sharing your heart. I couldn’t understand more. On the flip-side we can all contribute to a plethora of charities that will help our fellow human beings…no matter how large or small…it all helps. I wish we could make it all go away believe me but we do have to learn to handle it all without going insane. I have a feeling that I will be writing a post soon about this). Once again Lucy…thank you for sharing your heart and the beautiful smile you made for us.
Now it is time to drop in by Anita from Cedar Hill Farmhouse for a really fun post. Her Farmhouse French Home always has such perfect touches throughout and today she is sharing some of her secrets and you will never guess where these special accessories come from…The Grocery Store! Come and see how Apples…Artichokes and much more can be your decorating friend.
If you are wondering how you can put a touch of the Halloween BOO into your Farmhouse Living Room or Family Room…Doreen from Hymns and Verses is going to show you how! She has a wonderful scary little Black Cat NO-SEW (yes…my favorite thing in the world…NO-Sew) Black Cat Pillow. The kids will love it …plus it looks great!
Time for another Kitchen Island Redo here at Remodelando la Casa. See what a new color and some fun changes can do for this Island…it was really pretty before but now it is even more amazing. You will learn a lot about the process of painting that you can apply to so many makeovers. You will enjoy the Farmhouse Flair in this one!
I’m really loving the color Navy…so when I went to Jen Wood’s Fall Farmhouse Tour my heart was fluttering a bit…hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Love the inspiration!
