When you are browsing through your Local Thrift Shop…keep your eyes peeled for some cool hardware. It could even be on an inexpensive piece of furniture because they make really awesome hooks and organizers. BHG shows us that just by adding a little shower clip to the handle…you could be hanging notes…glasses…keys and more in total Farmhouse style.
When Larissa from Prodigal Pieces saw these Louver Doors at her Thrift Shop…she swooped them up immediately. You have to visit her and watch her create a fabulous Farmhouse Shelf. She gives you the step by step…so when you find some you can whip up this unique piece for your own home. I bet you are thinking of the many different ways you would stylize yours. So many possibilities.
I have seen so many Thrift Store Creations…but I have never seen a Laundry Hamper made from a Broken Thrift Store End Table! It’s a first. When you visit Faeries and Fauna she is going to share her DIY with you and I know you are going to love it. It’s the perfect Farmhouse Laundry Hamper…I’m thinking of making one using drop cloth as the fabric…think of all the possibilities…so many fabrics and trim out there. This would also make a great Toy Storage piece for the Kids Room too! Enjoy!
If you LOVE quick and easy…then Christy over at Confessions Of A Serial DIYer has a great Thrift Store Tip/Technique for you! She found a $2 Pitcher which was not the right color for her space. She is sharing her process for painting this pretty so you can change up colors on all kinds of things. Sometimes things are the wrong color…sometimes they have a pattern on them that you hate but love the piece and this is a great way to customize it and make it yours. So if you have something just waiting to be transformed…let Christy share her quick and easy technique.
BHG shows us a fabulous idea for many different Flea Market Signs. They started by giving an old cart a paint makeover. Then added some refurbished Thrift Store Drawers to hold all kinds of glasses…then added a Thrifted Suitcase and converted it into a bar (I LOVE how they placed all of the utensils in the back pocket of the case. So simple but yet so Contemporary Farmhouse. This might be a budget friendly piece but it looks like a million dollars.
Redoux Interiors found a free Old White Book Shelf that has seen better days…but she had a plan and it worked!!! She transformed it into a Rustic Farmhouse Rolling Cart with tons of personality. See how she did it and the next time you run into an old bookshelf you just might look at it in a different way!
It’s time to visit Organized Clutter where you will watch the transformation of a piece of Very Dated Thrift Shop Wall Art into a wonderful Faux Chalkboard Office Sign. Kind of makes you think about those old…really dated pieces you pass by many times!
Here’s another brilliant piece by Larissa from Prodigal Pieces. She found some old Mirror Frames (without the mirrors : )…come and see how she transformed them into two incredible Farmhouse Chalkboards…LOVE them!!!
When Erin got her Thrift Store Challenge Sconces in the mail…she knew she knew just what she was going to do. The upcycled she gave them is sheer simplistic perfection. Come and see how she turned two Plain Jane pieces into Classic Farmhouse Style!
