When Jenni over at I Spy DIY finally found exactly what she was looking for… she knew exactly what she was going to do. She brought all of her Thrift Store finds into a cohesive blend of color. Come and see how she did it… who knows… this might be the perfect technique of you.
WOW does Larissa have an amazing project for us today. She had seen these two little footstools at the Thrift Shop for Months and decided that it was time to put them in her cart. She felt that they had major potential and she sure was right. They needed a bit of love and new upholstery. This is where the WOW comes in. She wanted to cover them in felted wool (brilliant idea)… but here’s the super brilliance… she made the felted wool herself from Thrift Store Sweaters that we 70% wool. Here’s the best part… she shares the how to and even supplies us with a video. I have a feeling you are really going to enjoy this one. Hop on over to Prodigal Pieces for the full DIY and Enjoy!
Over at Organized Clutter… Carlene is going to show you what she did with a Garage Sale Dining Chair. See how she totally transformed it into a Farmhouse gem! It’s easier than you think.
Love Coffee and Tea? Then one of these Happy Coffee Stations are for you. Not exactly a Thrift Store Makeover but close. Bre from Baked Bree snatch and old and in her words “beat up” bookshelf from her daughters room and made the cutest Farmhouse Cottage Base for her Station. It never ceases to amaze me how pieces of furniture that served a totally different purpose and are on their way “out”… suddenly becomes a key piece in your home. Come and see how Bre put together what she calls her “Happy Place”… I LOVE IT!
If you happen to run into a Bed Spring at your local Craft Store or Garage Sale and your studio space needs a little organizing… pick it up!!! When you visit DIY Inspired you will see how easy it is to make a bedspring into a complete organizational center with tons of Farmhouse Style. Love the charm it brings to the space and how much space it gives you for your supplies.
Well the next time you fall upon some Spring Pans at your Thrift Shop… don’t think cheesecake… this fabulous Farmhouse Round Shelf! How fabulous is that. Salvage Sister and Mister are waiting to share their DIY for this cutie! Hey… a lot less calories than cheesecake ; )
If you are here… I do believe you are a lover of all things Farmhouse… so you are very familiar with 3 tiered trays and such! Well here’s one that was made over at Bliss Ranch and WOW is it Budget Friendly. I am just amazed that the base to this project is a bunch of tins from a Thrift Store… believe it or not… they are the tins with the little flowers or reindeer or Santa’s and such on them. She is sharing a technique with us today that turns those tins into these! How great is that. Now when you see those tins … don’t just think about putting cookies in them… set your sights higher… 3 tiers higher! Go get that DIY!
Susan over at Homeroad is always up to something creative and today she is sharing how she put some parts together that she found at the Thrift Store and some she had stored away to create this Farmtastic Enamelware Tiered Tray. She shares how she did it so you might be able to do it to when you find the parts : )
One of my favorite Thrift Store Makeovers is when someone snatches up some drawers at the Thrift Store and does fabulous things! Well this is one of those times. Christy from Confessions Of A Serial DIYER did just that! Check out his fabulous “drawer” shelf. Born from a $2 drawer… don’t you love it! Well you can create something almost just like it when you find your drawer! Drop by and check it out.
Can you believe that this was once a $5 Thrift Store Bookcase? Well it was until Jenna Sue from Jenna Sue Design worked her magic! Come on over and see how she reconstructed it… added molding… new legs and more. It’s very inspiring and the end result is pretty amazing. Keep this project in mind the next time you come upon a little budget friendly bookcase. Take the basic formula and add your imagination.
