Hi friends… Oh my goodness… I have the sweetest little Winter collection for you today! If you love woodland animals, old fashioned folk art and those charming little details that make something feel as though it came straight from a vintage storybook… I think you are going to fall in love with these!
Our Free Printable Winter Woodland Wall Art Gallery includes six adorable woodland creatures surrounded by snowy branches, evergreen trees, little stars and beautiful Winter colors.
We have a sweet white rabbit… a beautiful snowy owl… a bright red cardinal… a precious little chickadee… an adorable red fox… and a charming woodland deer!
Each illustration has that wonderfully imperfect hand painted folk art feeling. The brushstrokes are visible… the borders are slightly uneven… and the colors have that soft, worn appearance that makes everything feel a little nostalgic.
The collection is filled with warm cranberry red, deep evergreen, beautiful Winter blue, muted plum and soft cream… making it perfect for Christmas decorating while still being lovely enough to display throughout the entire Winter season.
And of course… all six prints are FREE!
They are available in 5×7 and 8×10 sizes, and you can choose either JPG or PDF.
So grab your favorite mug of something warm and delicious… settle into a cozy spot… and let’s take a little walk through our Winter woodland!

About the Winter Woodland Wall Art Gallery
What I especially love about this collection is how beautifully the six prints coordinate without looking exactly alike.
Every little animal has its own personality, and each background brings something different to the gallery.
Some have rich, colorful backgrounds with tiny hand painted stars… others feature snowy branches and delicate botanical details against soft cream.
The artwork has a traditional folk art feeling with simple shapes, expressive brushstrokes and those charming imperfections that make handmade artwork so special.
I can picture these in a cozy cottage kitchen… a vintage inspired living room… a woodland nursery… or displayed together as a charming Winter gallery wall.
And while they certainly have plenty of Christmas charm, I love that you can leave them up long after the holiday decorations have been packed away.

1. The Winter White Rabbit
Oh my goodness… could this little rabbit be any sweeter?
A beautiful white rabbit with soft pink ears sits against a warm cranberry red background sprinkled with delicate white stars and snowflakes.
Little evergreen branches and snowy botanical details surround our furry friend, while the imperfect painted border gives the entire illustration a wonderful old fashioned appearance.
I especially love the rabbit’s gentle expression and the way those creamy white colors look against the rich red background.
This one would be absolutely adorable in a cottage bedroom, nursery or cozy Winter gallery wall.
2. The Snowy Woodland Owl
Now this little fellow has quite the personality!
A beautiful snowy owl sits proudly on a snow covered branch against a muted plum and dusty mauve background filled with tiny stars.
The owl’s soft cream feathers are decorated with delicate gray markings, and those big expressive eyes make the whole illustration feel wonderfully charming.
Little evergreen branches and pinecones frame the bottom of the scene, adding that perfect touch of Winter woodland magic.
I think this one would look beautiful in a simple wood frame… especially beside a few vintage books and a little evergreen arrangement.
3. The Winter Red Cardinal
Oh… you KNOW I couldn’t resist this one!
There is just something about a beautiful red cardinal against snowy evergreens that makes my heart happy.
Our bright red cardinal sits on a snow covered evergreen branch decorated with little red berries and pinecones.
The deep green background is sprinkled with cream colored stars and snowflakes, making that gorgeous cardinal really stand out.
I love the rich traditional Winter colors and the simple, old fashioned folk art style.
This print would be beautiful displayed for Christmas… but I think it is especially lovely for January and February when we all need a little extra color in our Winter homes.
4. The Sweet Winter Chickadee
This one is so peaceful and delicate!
A precious little chickadee with a black cap, soft gray wings and creamy white feathers rests on a branch surrounded by evergreen sprigs and bright red berries.
Tiny blue gray snowflakes and little golden stars dance across the warm cream background.
I love how light and airy this illustration feels compared with some of the darker prints in the collection.
It would be so pretty tucked onto a bookshelf, displayed above a little wooden table or paired with the red cardinal for a charming Winter bird gallery.
5. The Little Winter Fox
Well… I think this might be the one that steals everyone’s heart!
An adorable rusty red fox with a fluffy cream chest and enormous bushy tail sits against a beautiful deep blue background.
Little snowy evergreen trees stand on either side while tiny white stars and snowflakes fill the sky.
And just look at that sweet face!
The simple painted details and charming folk art style make this one feel like an illustration from a favorite childhood Winter storybook.
I think this would be absolutely precious in a woodland nursery or mixed into a cozy Christmas gallery wall.
6. The Winter Woodland Deer
And finally… we have our beautiful little woodland deer!
A sweet reddish brown deer with delicate white spots and small antlers stands against an icy turquoise blue background.
Bare Winter branches curl into the corners with tiny red berries, while little white stars and snowflakes surround the deer.
I love the combination of warm reddish brown and cool Winter blue… it gives the entire print such a fresh, peaceful feeling.
This one would be especially lovely displayed with our fox and white rabbit for a sweet woodland animal grouping.
Create a Charming Winter Woodland Gallery Wall
Oh… I think these six prints would make the sweetest little gallery wall!
Because the colors coordinate so beautifully, you can mix all the animals together without everything looking too matched.
Try arranging three prints across the top and three underneath… or use a slightly more collected arrangement with a mixture of frame styles.
I especially love the idea of using simple natural wood frames, distressed cream frames or a collection of little vintage frames found at the thrift store.
The warm wood would look beautiful against the deep cranberry, evergreen and blue backgrounds.
You could even tuck a little evergreen garland nearby or display a few pinecones beneath the gallery.
Nothing too fancy… just enough to make the whole space feel cozy and welcoming.
Pretty Ways to Decorate With Your Winter Prints
These charming little woodland friends can go so many places!
I think the red cardinal and chickadee would be especially lovely in a kitchen or breakfast nook.
The white rabbit and deer would look adorable in a bedroom or woodland nursery.
And that little fox… well… I honestly think he would look sweet almost anywhere!
You could also lean a framed print against a stack of old books on your mantel, tuck one onto a Winter shelf display or group a few together above a side table.
And here’s something I especially love…
These prints can stay up all Winter long!
Once Christmas is over, simply remove your Christmas specific decorations and let these sweet woodland animals carry you through the rest of the season.
Mix and Match Your Favorite Woodland Animals
If you don’t want to use all six prints, there are so many beautiful smaller combinations.
For a traditional Winter grouping, try the Red Cardinal, Snowy Owl and Winter Chickadee.
For a sweet woodland trio, use the White Rabbit, Little Fox and Woodland Deer.
Or mix the Red Cardinal, White Rabbit and Little Fox for a colorful combination of cranberry red, evergreen and beautiful Winter blue.
I also love the idea of mixing one or two of these folk art prints with vintage botanical artwork, snowy landscapes or a favorite Winter quote.
That kind of collected arrangement is always so charming!
A Few Friendly Printing Tips
These prints have such beautiful rich colors and hand painted textures that I would recommend using your printer’s Best or High Quality setting.
A nice bright white heavyweight cardstock or matte presentation paper would be a wonderful choice.
The matte finish works especially well with this folk art style because it keeps that soft, vintage painted feeling.
Choose Actual Size or 100% in your printer settings so your 5×7 or 8×10 artwork stays the correct size.
If you would rather save your printer ink, you can always have the JPG files printed at a local photo or print shop.
And don’t forget to check your print preview before printing!
A Little Vintage Folk Art Charm for Winter
There is something about old fashioned folk art that makes a home feel especially warm and inviting.
I love the simple shapes… the slightly uneven brushstrokes… the rich traditional colors… and those sweet little details that make every piece feel handmade.
Nothing has to be perfectly polished or realistic.
In fact, I think the imperfections are part of the magic!
These little woodland animals have that same wonderfully nostalgic feeling that makes vintage Christmas and Winter decorations so special.
And I love knowing that you can bring a little of that charm into your home with a few simple printables and some favorite frames.
I hope our Free Printable Winter Woodland Wall Art Gallery brings a little extra warmth and whimsy into your home this Winter!
There is something so peaceful about imagining a quiet snowy woodland filled with sweet rabbits, colorful birds, curious foxes and gentle deer.
And I especially love that these illustrations remind us that Winter can be beautiful long after the Christmas decorations have been tucked away.
So print your favorites… find a few pretty frames… add a little greenery… and enjoy creating your very own cozy Winter woodland.
Wishing you a season filled with peaceful moments, happy little surprises and plenty of reasons to smile.
Enjoy, my friends!
