Wow! This post is like an encyclopedia of houseplants! turns out that over the years, I’ve had poisonous houseplants and didn’t even know it! I was just about to shop for some new plants, so you may have saved my kitty cat from some real dangers! He doesn’t usually bother plants very much, but (don’t tell him I said this) he isn’t very bright, so you never know what he might get into!
This post is a keeper, Pinning!
Thank you, and hugs,

Hi there Bev…I am SOOOOOO happy that you enjoyed today’s post! There is a ton of great info and many references. One of my BIG reasons for doing the post besides helping with plant choice and care was to inform everyone of the dangers of certain plants to our pets. When people have that knowledge so many LESS accidents happen. I hope you find your perfect plants!!! Here’s wishing you and yours the best day ever…hugs…

Maybe I can try growing something besides aloe and snake plants inside with this info. Would like to try some herbs, but must watch out for family overwatering. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Debra! How are you. Well I am glad this is motivating you to try different plants! I hope you find the perfect ones and believe me…I am one that has waaaaaay over watered in the past and I have learned my lesson lol!!! I actually like the ice cube hack…you put an ice cube or two on the top dirt and it slowly melts and waters properly…it has helped me…maybe it will help you : ) As far as herbs are concerned…I highly recommend Rosemary…Basil and Thyme…I have found them very hardy and they do well inside : ) HAVE FUN!!! Enjoy! Here’s wishing you and yours a fabulous week and sending hugs…
