Can you believe we are now in day 4 of our Wedding in Jars Extravaganza! Time flies! Well today I have a super simple idea for you. How about giving Sweet Tea Concentrate in a Mason Jar as a Favor? Very novel and who doesn’t enjoy a tall ice cold glass of Sweet Tea every now and again! With every minimal supplies and our pretty little Free Printable Tags…you will have a great favor that is inexpensive and you know will get used!!! So sit back…enjoy a cup of Sweet Tea and check out this quick and easy project!

All you are going to need is some jars…tea bags…sugar…fresh lemons and our Free Printable Tags!

Once you have your Sweet Tea Concentrate made…pour it into the size jar of your choice and then add your Free Printables and you are ready for the giving!

If you would like…you can also string the direction tags on! We have one for a LARGE Pitcher 1/2 a gallon+ or for a Tall Glass of Tea…it’s up to you which you would like to use!

Now all you have to do is make the Sweet Tea Concentrate! You can use these as favors at a Wedding…a Shower…a Rehearsal Dinner or any other favor for any other occasion! CHEERS!
- 1 Fresh Lemon
- 2¼ cup of Sugar
- 4 cups of Water
- 12 Tea Bags (You can use whatever is your favorite, Black Tea, English Breakfast Tea, Early Grey, and of course any other flavor Tea Bag you would like. But for the traditional Sweet Tea a nice Black Tea or Breakfast Tea is perfect
- ⅓ cup of Fresh Lemon Juice
- Zest you large lemon and then squeeze the lemon for it's fresh juice.
- In your saucepan combine the sugar and water together.
- Bring it to a boil over medium heat.
- Once the mixture comes to a boil...lover your flame and simmer (stirring occasionally) 5-10 minutes (making sure that the sugar is dissolved)
- Remove from heat and add your tea bags and lemon zest or rinds (your choice)
- Allow to brew 12 minutes (no more because the tea will become bitter)
- Strain your Tea and Lemon Zest
- Return to pan and add your Lemon Juice.
- Allow to cool completely.
- Now it is time to fill up your jars and seal them tightly.
- Store in the fridge for best results.
