I did find some silver ones also…maybe I will get to make something with those later!
Oh Christmas Tree
What you will need…
A styrofoam cone (size of your choice) some glitter (I chose a green that complimented the balls that I used) Some Modge Podge a brush…a hot glue gun and a paint brush.
First, paint your cone with Modge Podge and then sprinkle the entire cone or roll it with glitter…shake to remove excess and then let dry (you really want to let it dry : ) The glitter takes care of those tiny little spots that the balls may not cover…works like a charm! While it is drying…remove the Christmas Balls from the packages and take out the metal hanger finding on the top.
and around…
and around!
Till you reach the top! At the top…just put a touch of glue on the inside sides of each ball so they stay together and then one on top and viola…a pretty little tree…
I thought that this little tree had a vintage feel with the colors so I went to my thrifty finds section and pulled out this pretty little crystal candle stick that made a glistening base for my shiny little tree.
How easy was that!
So…if you see something that is drastically marked down…snatch it up…you never know what you are going to come up with : )
