We all love to bring new life into the Kitchen but some of us don’t have a lot of time and some want to keep things budget friendly and affordable… so this collection of ideas is for you! All of them are easy and won’t cost a ton. You don’t need $30,000 grand to make your Kitchen smile… a little creativity… imagination and DIY can work very nicely!
Hang Up Artwork In The Kitchen
You don’t always think of artwork in the Kitchen but it is a wonderful place to hang some creations… vintage signs…wall hangings… paintings…photography… pictures and more. It adds a more homey… cozy… lived in feel. If you have little ones… a Children’s Art Gallery Wall is something everyone would love. Adding artwork isa budget friendly… quick and easy way to change things up in any room! Let your imagination soar.
Wallpaper a Fridge

Add New Lighting
A simple new light can add a WOW factor to your space! How about hanging a wonderful pendant lamp over your island… maybe two? A new overhead… a beauty over the table… maybe even step out of the “box” and use a lamp on the island or credenza??? You can easily do this for under $100 but of course you can go way above. Just know that it can be very affordable and truly perk up the space!
Create a Pantry Space
If you don’t all ready have a pantry… maybe spend the day and clean out the cabinets. Then… arrange them… put them in containers… label them and then arrange in the space that you have. Ah the magic of wallpaper! Create a feature wall… above the cabinets or below as a backsplash (yes… a washable scrubbable wallpaper can work nicely and opens a whole new world of color… pattern and design!) Or how about half paint… half wallpaper with a chair rail? So many possibilities and something this easy can add so much to your Kitchen space.
Create Extra Storage At Arms Reach
If you need a little bit more storage space in the Kitchen for essentials… how about adding a Raskog to your life! Add and Island
Ok… you may not have the room for an island… I don’t either so mine is an upcycled credenza with butcher block top up against the wall! If you love to upcycled… the first things to do is search for a piece at The Thrift Store that would fit your space and that you can convert to what you need (make sure it has the drawers you need and you can create open space by removing drawers). After the paint…stain or paint treatment (even some wallpaper)… adding the hardware really customizes it… don’t forget to add a rack for tin foil… a towel rack… maybe a pegboard… so many additives. I am a bit of an IKEA lover … so I would be amiss if I didn’t show you how some of my favorite IKEA Kitchen Hacks which includes the amazing Island featured above which can be made for about $250 and it is awesome! There is no right or wrong when it comes to anything in decorating… it’s all about what you love.
Add Throw Pillows
If you have a bench at your table or window seat or even chairs… I guarantee some fun throw pillows will add a ton of color… charm and comfort!
Add a Pegboard
Here is a super simple yet highly purposeful awesome looking project! Have you ever considered adding a Peg Board to your Kitchen Wall… well if you have the space… it is a great addition! The one and only Julia Child started the craze decades ago and it is still going strong! A simple pegboard with the right hardware can house pots… pans… utensils and so much more… spices and the list goes on… it’s like getting extra cabinet space in a snap! Have fun with it and paint it… put moulding around it… embellish it or maybe stainless steal? Whatever your heart desires. It actually becomes its own wall art! So affordable too!
