Joe, Peter and I would like to wish you all a very good morning! We want you to know how much we appreciate you and love seeing what you have been up to! Things here have been very … I don’t know exactly how to put it… so I will have some tips that I hear around for you next week… anything that can possibly help in this very difficult blogging atmosphere. As some of you know my blog has gotten hit hard in the past year with Google core updates. It has caused major distress in our lives and continues to do in a severe way. Trying everything in the world to counteract it but to no avail right now. Even almost 1/2 million followers on Pinterest doesn’t help and that was a HUGE source of traffic before and now a fraction comes from there. So while working on the blog long hours I am in the process of opening a new Etsy Store (really an old one that I have not used in 12 years and giving a new start to) It is called The Cottage Market Too. I have a whole new line going in there over the next few weeks (anyone that runs an Etsy store knows how much work is involved and I am trying to do it right). I dont have a lot in there now… just some handpainted magnets, Halloween tags and door hangers but this week I will be putting handmade banners for Fall, Halloween and starting my kids line along with handpainted Artist Bookmarks and a lot of other items coming really soon including Christmas and Winter ornaments and more. I would love to ask you all a favor… if you could just hop over there and favorite the shop and maybe a few items to give it life after its long nap. Then if you know anyone that would enjoy what is i there… share it with them. It is more important than you know. It would mean the world to us. Thank you always for being so kind! We LOVE you all!!! Like I said, there is not a lot in there now but there will be in the coming days and weeks. Everything is handmade and painted by me 🙂 Thank you for your support in sharing the word.

I am sorry to hear of your problems with the blog. I have to say that I do not understand as I never monetized my blog…I was approached recently to start a You Tube channel showing my projects and crafts if I needed extra money. again, I have no idea how that works but I do know some people make a career on You Tube videos….For me, that would be a last resort if i needed it so I will keep that in my back pocket for future reference….Again, sorry to hear about all of this…

I know you’re not alone in taking a huge monetary hit with blogging lately, but it’s cold comfort, right? An Etsy shop is also a ton of work, so you must be burning the midnight oil. There is a ton of work and I am averaging about 14 hours a day 7 days a week along with the other “life” things right! The financial hit has been more than I can even say.Hoping something works really soon! I thank you for giving me the support … favoriting really does help on etsy… it help them spread it more. Thank you for featuring my Giant Texas Sunflower Cookies! I’m sorry for the blogging woes. I’ve had my daily FB recipe page for over 10 years (51K+ followers), but don’t know about the monetary side of it (other than META contacted ME & offered to pay me per view of my page!). Other than putting stuff on Pinterest, don’t know about that either. My daughter just started a podcast about canning and baking, but she’s in Idaho so don’t know who or how she’s being helped with it. Catch y’all again next week.
