A Wonderful Wednesday to you all.
Today is about playing at the table!
It was at breakfast and I just finished my juice. I started looking at the glass that was now empty…don’t know why I have been drinking out if it for a long time…
then I turned it upside down and thought of something else it could be used for…
A Cloche!
By simply turning it over it was a perfect house for a little something special…
so I picked up a gourd…seemed appropriate for the Season and a bit of dry moss…
added a few pretty flowers to the top of the gourd that I was going to use and carefully tied a bow that can be removed in an instant to the top or bottom depending how you look at it : )…
stacked some plates that would have a Fall flair and enclosed the little gourd in glass…
the top of this pretty little vintage glass just looked like the perfect place for a nest…
picture and entire table setting with these pretties…
not limited to place settings…this little idea works solo…
then I spotted a little vintage dessert dish and gave this a little lift…perfect when you want to have varying heights…say on a mantle? A collection of different sizes would be awesome!
SO…
Open up that china hutch…your kitchen cabinets and see what you can find…you will really be surprised…so many creations are waiting to happen with what is all ready sitting in your house and maybe if you have a lone glass ready to be discarded…you can give it a new lease on life! : )
Have fun and by all means…play at the table!!!
(((((HUGS)))))
See you tomorrow for some printable FUN!

I have been on the hunt for some cloches with no luck. This is a fantastic idea! Thanks a bunch.
Hi there, so glad you can use this idea : ) Makes you think about those single glasses on the Goodwill shelves doesn’t it : ) lol! hugs…
Andrea, This is better than a cloche cause its multipurpose, already owned, and a product of your creativity 🙂
How perfect the fluting on the base of the glass … becomes a nest for the sweet birdie.
Another idea for upside-down stemware (like a wine glass with a flat bottom): use to hold pillar candles (of course I recommend faux LED candles, but if someone were to do this with an actual burning candle they should ensure the “holder” is level and steady for safety and follow all other fire prevention precautions) … just sayin’
Thank you as always for your kind words Robin. Also thanks tons for always reminding us of the fire safety end of things…it is so important!!!! I am going to do a few more posts soon on the practicality of upside-down stemware : ) How is the little furry guy doing? hugs to you!
SO cute!! Love the little bird in the top!! 🙂 🙂 Thanks for sharing & have a wonderful day! xox Holly

Love it! Isn’t it funny how just turning something upside down can give it a whole new meaning?! I’m going to have to start turning everything upside down!! :o)

I love, love glass cloches, and this little trick is just perfect! You have done a beautiful job of really pulling it all together, and I can only imagine a full table setting of these… How colourful and perfectly pretty! Love this idea 🙂
