Joe, Peter, and I would like to wish you all an amazing Friday Morning! We can’t tell you how happy we are to have you here with us! Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us! I have to tell you what happened this week… it actually happened last week but I forgot to write about it (don’t know how but I did!). I was sitting at my desk in my studio/office… My desk is. facing a big sliding glass door that leads onto a large deck which then leads into the fenced in back yard (the layout is important for the story lol). Anyway… I had the drapes open and had looked up for a moment because I thought I saw a large shadow (I was really scared because it was human large!) So I was frozen for a second but then I saw a shadow coming back (there is big blind spot where the deck wraps around the house so I couldn’t see that) then all of a sudden I see this HUGE nose or should I say snout… it was a full grown Black Bear! Thank God the girls (Alie and Georgia) didn’t go out at that time)! Without much ado… the bear climbed down the side of the deck and went on their merry way. Mind you I live in suburbia… I mean we have trees but no woods… there are some woods like a mile away). Called the police (I am always afraid because I don’t want anything to happen to the animal but I wanted to let them know and alert people in the neighbor hood to keep their dogs in or be very careful. We did see the bear once more about 1/2 hour later in our neighbors backyard that borders ours. The police came just to check things out but the bear was gone when they got here. This has NEVER EVER happened before but the moral of the story is I guess it can happen anywhere. I feel so sorry for the bears… we have eaten up so much of their land they don’t know where to go (deep sigh). All of my Jersey friends here… please beware and be safe! Sending hugs and love to all!!! Now let’s party!

Wow, that’s scary. I don’t miss seeing a black bear in our yard every afternoon in our old house. We would have 3 or 4 every day strolling in the yard it was scary. Now we have bunnies and a few deer. Thanks for hosting and featuring my lavender pots! Hope Joe and you are doing well.
OMG Cindy… 3 or 4 every day! EEEEEESH!!!!! The doggies must have gone nuts barking all the time! I guess you didn’t use your backyard much. Glad you don’t have those visitors in your new home! Thank you for always dropping by and sharing your amazing creativeness with all of us! Sending hugs and wishes for an incredible week!
Yikes! A bear on your deck would be scary. We are coming up on 3 years of living in western NC – in black bear country. I haven’t seen any black bears yet, and I hope it stays that way.
