Hi there friends! How are you! Hope all is going wonderful for each and every one of you! I am writing this early so I have not yet had my implant (Thursday) but I am going to tell you very quickly what happened to Joe on Tuesday evening because I want EVERYONE to learn from the experience. He was standing by the sink and looked a bit funny… I asked him if he was ok and he said he felt dizzy. Then he started to wobble and I wrapped my hands around him and tried to hold him upright. He started to fall backwards and my son ran into the room where he caught him just as he totally collapsed… his head was flung backwards… he was soaking wet… breathing was so shallow and he was incoherent. I truly thought we lost him as I was on the phone with 911. He finally started coming around but very confused. By the time the police got there he was semi-talking and we got him onto the sofa. The ambulance came and said he had to go to the hospital (of course he did). I am going to make this short… after tests… complete blood work-up… CT Scan… chest x-ray… 3 bags of IV… the diagnosis was… DEHYDRATION!!! OMG my friends… never in a million years did I think it went like that… it was truly horrific. MORAL of the story… DRINK your 8 glasses of 8 ounces of water or MORE!!! That is in addition to your coffee or tea… they are not technically dehydrators … but the caffeine acts as a diuretic. SO DRINK!!! It’s not a joke!!! He did not drink much that day and this all happened right after he went to the bathroom and the doctor said he basically expelled the only fluid left in his body and that was the icing on the cake that cause the collapse. I really want everyone to learn from this experience because I never want it to happen to any of you! It doesn’t matter your size… your age… it can happen so DRINK UP my friends and NO soda doesn’t count : ) We LOVE YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!! Wishing you an amazing weekend and we can’t wait to see what you are sharing this week.
Quick UPDATE: My procedure went well except for an allergic reaction to the antibiotics… but it’s ok… I am fine… just another piece of metal in my body lol!!!! LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Hi there Kim! So happy you enjoyed your feature! I hope you have an amazing week!!! Hugs!
Nothing to share today but I wanted to check in to see how things went with your procedure, Andrea. So glad to hear you are home and it went well (minus the antibiotic set back). I heard of this happening to someone else because of dehydration. I’m terrible for drinking enough water so this serves as a good reminder. Thank you and so glad Joe is okay!
Hi there Marie, how are you my friend. Hope all is well with you and yours and thank you so much for dropping by to see how I was… how sweet are you! The dehydration thing was a complete and utter nightmare and I hope it never happens to anyone… moral of the story… drink your water! I told him if he doesn’t drink enough he is going to have to fill out a personal daily journal page and color is water glassed in LOL!!!! Sending tons of hugs and wishes for a wonderful day!
Thank you for including my lavender scones in your features 🙂 I am loving everything lavender this summer!! And omigosh that must have been so scary for all of you! So glad that it ended up being dehydration but very scary nonetheless. Thanks for sharing the story. My dad is terrible for drinking water/anything throughout the day. He has his cup of coffee in the morning and then he’s good until dinner.
Hi there Suchot! How are you. Your Lavender Scones look amazing!!! You tell your Dad to DRINK!!!! It’s sooooooooo not funny what happened so tell him to drink : ) Sending you tons of hugs and wishes for a fabulous week!!!
Thank you for hosting and sharing your story. Hope your husband is doing well now. Its a lesson that we should all be reminded. And… Thank you for the feature of my peanut butter cake. Have a great weekend
Hi there Mareliz… your cake looks scrumptious! The whole situation with Joe was a nightmare but like I said… if someone can learn from that experience… it is a good thing! So stay hydrated my friend!!! Sending hugs and wishes for a fabulous week!
What a worry Andrea – so relieved that it was solved after all those tests – and thank you for letting us know Joe is ok now. Glad your procedure went well and that you are ok from the reaction from the RX.
Thank you Andrea for hosting your Morning Cup of Joy – and the lovely surprise to see my table top in with your features this week. Have a good rest up this weekend..
Hugs.

Andrea
I’m so glad you are doing well. Your husbands story was scary! I plan to share the info with my husband….maybe he will listen to you. My sweetie works outside in this heat- yuck…I know he doesn’t drink enough water.
Thank you for hosting among the chaos of life 😉 xo Lisa S
Hi there Lisa… thank you so much for the well wishes : ) You stay on your hubby about drinking water… I never want to hear anyone going through that again… it is horrifying! Hope you have an incredible week… sending tons of hugs and TTYS!
Thanks so much for hosting!
You are so welcome DEE!!!! I hope you have an amazing week!!! Sending tons of hugs : )
Whoa, Andrea! You have me focused on drinking water now! I once had a tennis partner collapse during a game from heat exhaustion. Staying hydrated, especially on days with extreme heat, is so important. I’m glad your hubby is okay, though, and it’s good to hear you’re doing well. Take care!
Hi there Crissy! How are you. I didn’t want to scare any one… but I had to share because you NEVER KNOW. I mean it took us by complete surprise. My hubby had just been for his physical and had a great one so when this happened it was totally out of the blue!!! PLEASE keep hydrated and by the way “they” aka… Cleveland Medical Center and Mayo Clinic say that you should sip throughout the entire day… gulping is not as effective : ) Here’s wishing you a creative and happy day!!! HUGS!!!
