I am so sorry I have not been really talkative lately and I am also sorry that I have not been sharing many blog tips. I do promise when I find things that work for the blog I will share. I have been very preoccupied with trying to repair the blog and starting the new Etsy Shop. Being honest, in the last year and 1/2 we have lost close to 2/3’s of our income from the blog due to major core updates. I do know others that have gone through this and believe me it is not easy. We have been working diligently to try to strengthen the blog and get it back to where it was and in the mean time using all of our savings and more. Unfortunately the blog has not bounced back yet… it is showing tiny steps right now which is a bit hopeful. Also hoping that the 4th quarter will benefit everyone. We are hoping that the new Etsy Store will help us regain some footing and hoping that it is not too little too late. It’s that serious. In the middle of it all Joe is starting to feel the effects of the Parkinson’s but we are doing everything possible to help him. I have been fighting some things and the pups have been also. I truly hate to do this because I just don’t do this kind of thing… but I would like to ask any of you out there that could possibly share our new Etsy Store any place at all or maybe share one of our Free Printable Galleries. It would be very appreciated. It would also be appreciated if you could hop over to the new store The Cottage Market Too and give it a few hearts here and there. Any action is positive. I am also giving a $2 coupon that can be shared and a free gift for any purchase of $20 or more.THE COUPON CODE IS: WELCOME (all CAPS). I have to tell you that I am embarrassed to ask but you are all like family and I truly believe it would help out. We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Love to you all! Now let’s see all those fabulous creations you have been up to!!!! I promise if I find out anything to help your blogs I will share. I am experimenting with some things on Pinterest and I will let you know if it works.

HI Beth, great to see you! I will get over to the party this week! Sending hugs and wishes for a wonderful week!
Praying for all of us as we tread these difficult blogging waters. I’m even contemplating going full-time at Hobby Lobby! But then I wouldn’t have ANY time for the blog. 🙁 Still waiting on the Lord! Thanks for hosting!
Hi Julie. How are you. I know you know how blogging can be a bit fickle. I hope you don’t have to go full time but if you do I wish you the absolute best with it. At this point employment outside the home is just not an option here. Health has become a massive problem in that area. So we are trying everything and anything to restore things the best we can.Just very scared. Thank you as always for your thoughts and prayers and for being so kind! Sending love and hugs your way and a ton of prayers that things go better for you. I promise I will get over to the party. I hope the best for you! Have a nice week!
Andrea,
I am so sorry that there are such problems financially with blogging..I always thought that if I needed extra money now that I am a widow, I would monetize my blog but now I think it is not an option for me…Plus, I guess I just do not understand the process enough to get into it..I have been told that I should have a you tube channel to share my crafting to make money but honestly, after working my entire life in such a hard and thankless profession as Nursing was, I am just happy to not have to deal with all that…I hope things turn around for you all…
My link ups are # 11, 15 and 19! Thanks so very much the feature again and always for your kind words! I will be giving you the Shout Outs that I always do!! I hope you have a great weekend!!
Hugs,
Deb

Hi there Debbie. Always great to see you here. I don’t want you to be down on blogging because it still exists… it just doesn’t exist like it use to. We still make earnings but dastically cut. You can still make some extra cash … ours was just not extra it was the base. So keep blogging and tae any opportunity you can ok! Sending hugs and love your way! Have a great week!
Thank you for featuring my kindness post. I’m so sorry to hear about the struggles with blog income and health issues. Your Etsy shop has some adorable things – I wish you the best of luck with it!
Thank you so much for your kind words Sally … greatly appreciated. Tzhank you for being a part of this little family! Sending tons of hugs your way with wishes for a great week!
Hi Andrea, I’m so sorry to hear how devastating these changes have been for you and your blog. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. We are fortunate because any money our blog brings in is extra income. However, I’m very disappointed that what I thought could be our retirement jobs is probably just going to be a hobby now. Thanks for your continued work on this party and for featuring our Christmas tree decorating post! I’ll share your blog in our next newsletter!
Hi there Donna, thank you so much for your kind words. So glad your situation doesn’t effect you. Here… it has been our source of income the last 11 years. Long story but it came at a time that we needed it desperately and I kept growing it and growing it as I still do but things have drastically changed and the core updates were the main culprit.Thank you for being apart of this little family! Sending hugs and love and wishes for a wonderful day!
Hi Andrea. Thanks for all you do and I appreciate the feature. I am so glad you liked our witchcraft styling. This bogging thing is tough! It’s a moving target and hard to keep up sometimes. I appreciate you and going over to visit your shop. Stay well & have a wonderful week. XO- MaryJo
Hi MaryJo… great to see you and I did absolutely love the apothecary cabinet!!! Thank you for your kind words and thanks for visiting the shop! Greatly appreciated! You take care now and have an amazing day! HUGS!
Thank you for sharing my Pumpkin Pie Slice sugar Cookies ~ and thank you for sharing a slice of your life with us too. I’m not very familiar with blogging as an income. I did have some ads on my daily Facebook recipe page, but nothing ever came of it. Meta did approach me and offer to pay me for every click on my page, which was a shock to be approached! … It’ only amounts to may $30/month though, but anything helps since Hubby and I are on social security (with no real income otherwise ~ except for cookies & desserts that I sell). See y’all next (when I’ll be another year older!)
Hi there Cindy. Always great to see you and you yumminess here! I have been blogging now for 14+ years and it became our major souce of income 11 years ago. Not sure how it will all play out… So happy that you were made an offer that helps you out a little bit 🙂 Thank you once again for sharing and being a part of this family! Sending hugs and wishes for a wonderful day!
