This week’s Aldi finds include popular bags, kitchen deals, pet favorites, back to school picks, easy meal ideas and budget friendly treats.
Hello friends! I am back for Week 2!!! Here we talk about everything Aldi, and each week I bring you some of the specials, reviews, tips, tricks, recipes, deals and more to help make your shopping trip a little more fun and useful.
You all seemed to enjoy last week’s post, so here we go with Round 2! Let’s take a sneak peek at what Aldi will be up to beginning Wednesday, July 15!
I love shopping at Aldi, and I honestly get excited each week to see what is new, what fun seasonal goodies have arrived and of course, to grab the things my family already loves.
I also have to tell you that Aldi has been a huge help with the food budget. I truly mean that. I never thought my family would love store brands the way they do, but it happened. I knew it was official when my son started loving Aldi ketchup instead of the 57 variety. I truly thought that was an impossibility!
So throughout the weeks, I will share what we love, tell you about anything new that we try, scope out the best deals and all that jazz lol. I will also tell you if I do not like something, because that is helpful too!
Hopefully, next week I will start doing some taste tests. Would you like that?
Let’s grab our quarter, find our bags and get shopping!

Now let’s see what is coming!
Aldi Finds for the Week of July 15
Need To Know: Live In Style Sling Bag
You heard right! That sometimes viral little bag, which is a dupe of a much more expensive bag, is returning to the shelves this week for only $9.99. The Live In Style Sling Bag has multiple pockets, is lightweight, has a clever compartment that can hold a small water bottle and can be worn three different ways. It is a handy little bag for errands, walks, amusement parks, day trips and anywhere you want to keep your hands free. So head to that Aisle of Shame in the middle of your Aldi and treat yourself! I have to make a little note here. When I say that you have to move fast for some of these items, I mean it. Two weeks ago, I watched ALL of the little book vases disappear from the shelf, and the time was 9:05 in the morning. There were four women surrounding the area, and some were on their knees. So if there is a highly popular item that you truly want, try to get there when the doors open!!!
Fun Kitchen Deal Alert: Crofton Cast Iron Bread Oven
Okay… I am choosing this one first because I am in love with it lol!!! I also know that many of you collect Crofton cast iron pieces, and WOW, this one is fabulous and so pretty! The Crofton Cast Iron Textured Dutch Oven and Bread Oven will be available for $29.99 in beautiful Sea Salt and White colors. The bread oven is made especially for baking those gorgeous round loaves with a crisp crust, although a Dutch oven is wonderful for bread, soups, stews and so much more. It is not on my budgeted list right now, but if you have wanted one and it is affordable for you… grab it! Then go check out all of those easy no knead bread recipes and get baking!
Home Decor Alert: Kirkton House Carved Wood Candle
For all of you farmhouse and candle lovers, take a look at the Kirkton House Rustic Carved Wood Candle for $19.99. A carved wood candle this size can get expensive very quickly, so this feels like a much friendlier price. You can simply enjoy its farmhouse simplicity and the cozy glow it adds to a room. When it has completely burned out, cooled and been cleaned according to the directions, you may even be able to reuse the container as a little decorative bowl. Fill it with seasonal treasures, wrapped candies or anything else that makes you smile. Just be sure to follow the safety information on the candle before reusing the wooden container.
Fun Dog Deal Alert: Heart To Tail Pet Splash Pad
If you are a family that enjoys the backyard and the outdoors during the summer, just for the record, I do not lol, and you have a doggie who likes to stay cool while having some fun, why not get them the Heart to Tail Pet Splash Pad? It is only $9.99 and comes in two fun designs. Aldi has tons of special pet surprises this week, so be sure to look around for dog toys, adorable pet food containers and plenty of other goodies.
Fun Cat Deal Alert: Heart To Tail Novelty Cat Tower
We did not forget about the kitty! No way! Not too many cats are going to join you on the deck for a bit of water fun, but I can certainly see them getting comfy cozy in a Heart to Tail Novelty Cat Tower while watching some television in the air conditioning! The towers are available in the Island Life and Rose styles for $24.99. Honestly, the cat will probably enjoy the box it comes in too, but that is another story lol!
Fun Practical Deal: Live In Style Cooler Tote
For those of you who like to carry a cooler filled with nice icy cold cans, bottles, snacks or sandwiches for a car trip, baseball game, school event, picnic, party, beach day and the list goes on… check out the Live In Style Cooler Tote. It is easy to carry, looks great, feels sturdy and should get plenty of use. At $12.99, it is also much less expensive than many stylish cooler bags. This is the kind of practical Aldi Find that could come in handy again and again.
Fun Back To School Deal: Crofton Kids Food Flasks
Do not miss the wonderful selection of Crofton Kids Food Flasks for $7.99. They come in all sorts of adorable patterns, including butterflies, dinosaurs, unicorns, sports and colorful checks. Aldi also has plenty of Bento-style storage containers and other little lunch helpers that can make packing school lunches much easier. These could also be useful for daycare, camp, road trips or keeping snacks organized at home.
Another Fun Back To School Deal: Pembrook Highlighters
These are so flipping cute that I have to share them with you! Check out the Pembrook Unicorm Highlighters for $3.99. They look like tiny colorful treats, but they are actually highlighters! Every kid should have a set of these… and I know quite a few adults who are going to want them too!Must Tries This Week
Season’s Choice Extra Crispy Shoestring Fries
The Season’s Choice Extra Crispy Shoestring Fries are arriving on Wednesday for $2.99, and I can speak directly to the quality and deliciousness of Aldi fries. This variety has the skins on, and I bet they are going to be really good! I also have to say that spraying Aldi fries with a little olive oil and cooking them in the air fryer makes them extra tasty, so give that a try. Honestly, it is difficult to go wrong with any of their fries!
Aldi Smoothie Protein Bowls
Also arriving in the frozen section on Wednesday are Aldi Smoothie Protein Bowls. They come in two varieties. There is Banana and Almond Butter with blueberries and granola, and Açaí and Peanut Butter with strawberries, granola and dark chocolate pieces. These could be a quick and refreshing breakfast, lunch or snack for a busy day. The package contains two bowls and is expected to cost $6.59. I am curious about these, so they may need to become one of our upcoming taste tests!
Aldi Frozen Fruit Chunks
Aldi is also releasing frozen Dragon Fruit Chunks and Passion Fruit Chunks for $4.49 per bag. These are separate from the Smoothie Protein Bowls, but they would be wonderful for creating your own smoothie bowls at home. Blend them into smoothies, add them to yogurt, make a frozen fruit drink or let them soften slightly for a refreshing summer snack. I love finding something a little unusual without having to visit a specialty grocery.
Breakfast Best Original French Toast Sticks
There is a reason people love the Breakfast Best Original French Toast Sticks. They are delicious! I have eaten many a frozen French toast stick in search of that perfect one that tastes like… drum roll please… the BK sticks! My kids, who are not little anymore, still love them, and this is the frozen stick that finally won them over. Full disclosure… I love them too. I always stole one of their sticks! Trust me… you need these if anyone in your household loves French toast sticks. Oh… I also have to share that I tried one with hot honey. YUM!!! Did I mention that they are incredibly budget friendly? Here in New Jersey, an order of three French toast sticks from BK costs around $2.50. At Aldi, you get a bag of approximately 20 sticks for $3.49. Enough said!
Easy Aldi Meal For Under $12
This is such an easy little dinner for a busy night. Cook the fresh ravioli according to the package directions, but stop about three minutes early. Before draining them, save approximately one cup of the pasta water. Drain the ravioli and return them to the pan. Pour in the entire jar of marinara sauce and continue heating everything together. Add a few handfuls of fresh spinach and gently toss until the spinach has wilted. Serve with a little grated Parmesan on top. The ravioli make approximately four generous servings! If you do not like spinach, leave it out or add some frozen peas instead. Peas are so good in this! Here is the cost at my Aldi:- Fresh Ravioli: $3.65
- Marinara Sauce: $1.85
- Fresh Spinach: $2.09
- Grated Parmesan: $2.99
- Total: $10.58
Specially Selected Lava Cakes
Looking for a truly decadent treat? Not just a cookie… not just a scoop of ice cream… but something that makes you say, “Ahhhh, yes!” Then I think you should treat yourself to a package of Specially Selected Lava Cakes. At my store, a package of two is $4.29, and let me tell you… they do not disappoint! If you want to make them even more over the top, add a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Oh… and add a strawberry and call it healthy lol!!! Bakery prices are absolutely crazy right now, so this feels like a deal when you want a special little dessert without paying restaurant prices. What’s In My Cart This Week
Here is what I am planning to put into my cart this week: Two 12-pack cases of plain seltzer because we go through it like water. Four packets of taco seasoning. I use it all the time in my Mexican-style salads and even in rice. It tastes just like the name brands, but instead of costing around $1.79 per packet, Aldi’s costs only 59 cents! I am also getting two packages of mushrooms, a package of the small red, orange and yellow peppers, green onions, garlic, zucchini, pasta, beans and the small fresh tortillas. You get 20 of those little tortillas for $2.05! There will also be cheddar cheese, which I will talk about next week, and of course… French toast sticks. Maybe… just maybe… a bottle of the new Simply Nature Organic Dubai Chocolate Flavored Creamer will sneak into the basket. I drink my coffee black, but??? It will be available beginning July 15 and has chocolate and pistachio flavors. It is a brand-new product… just when I thought there could not possibly be another Dubai Chocolate item!!!
Danger Zone
The Danger Zone this week is definitely the middle aisle! Between the $9.99 sling bag, the gorgeous cast iron bread oven, the carved wood candle, pet goodies, cooler totes and all of those cute school supplies, a quick grocery run could easily turn into a financial event lol. So here is my friendly little warning. Make your list, decide what you truly need and maybe allow yourself one fun treat if it fits into the budget. Remember… something is not a bargain if it sits unused in a closet for the next three years. I am saying that to you, but I am also saying it to myself!!! Bring your quarter. Bring your bags. Bring your list. Most importantly… bring a little willpower! Now I Want To Hear From You
I want to hear all about your Aldi favorites! What products do you buy every single week? What does your family love? Have you found something that everyone should know about? I would love to add a regular category called Reader Picks, so leave your recommendations in the comments and I may feature them in one of our upcoming Aldi posts. I also want to know what you would like me to taste test! Should I try the Smoothie Protein Bowls? The Dubai Chocolate Creamer? A frozen meal? A dessert? Something completely different? Tell me what you love, what you do not love and what you want me to investigate next! Just so you know, this is not a sponsored post. I simply love the place! Happy shopping… and may a quarter always be with you!!!
