Spring 2022 Haul – Confessions Of A Serial DIYER
Well… I thought that it would be fun to start off this weeks collection with one of our favorite Makeover Artists (Christy) and her Spring HAUL!!! This way you can get some ideas on how she shops at the Thrift Store for her Spring Projects. She has a wide variety of styles and items and I for one can’t wait to see what she does with them! I adore that little sewing kit basket… my Grandma had one and it is so cute… it opens into all these drawers! I am wondering what she is going to do with those huge Candle Holders and everything else! So this is a birdseye view on what she deems fabulous and we get to watch her creations one by one!
White Painted Hutch With Beadboard – Confessions Of A Serial DIYER
Well… that was quick… here we are with her first makeover from the Haul. She took that dated hutch and turned it into a fresh Country French Chic piece that is amazing! She is going to show you all of her steps including how she added beadboard…distressed hardware… lined the drawers and windows… added the stencil and all the cleaning… prepping and painting. Come on over and enjoy… sometimes I sit amazed how much a makeover can do!
Chalk Paint – Radio Cabinet – Girl in the Garage
Jen found herself and awesome old Radio Cabinet and turned it into a fabulous piece that would look awesome with just about any decor! I cool statement piece for sure. She got that special look with Charcoal Chalk… something you might consider in the future if you love the finish. She fills you in on all the tricks and tips!
How To Salvage Candle Remnants – My Thrift Store Addiction
Cecilia has a great little makeover here for us. Not only is she reminding us that we can use all kinds of china and glass pieces for candles… she is also showing us how to use the wax we left behind with some of our jar candles. I was so thrilled to find this great site… I don’ t know how I could have possibly missed it! Well no fear… we have it on the radar now. You HAVE to see this makeover. The dresser in the before picture is… well let’s say eeeesh… you will see… but then the MAGIC happened. Sanding… tons of sanding… base coatings… painting… hemp oil… hardware… casters… distressing and more. The final piece is not short of amazing! Talk about Industrial Farmhouse Furniture at its finest! This is a piece that I wish would roll into my studio right now! WOW!
