Bird’s Eye Maple Dresser Makeover – My Creative Days
I know you are going to enjoy this makeover. Lindsay was running short on projects to do during our time in shut-down. She is usually out shopping Thrift Stores and Flea Markets with her husband during this time. But… she was able to find a wonderful source… her antique store in one of the local towns decided to form a Facebook Group and she was able to snatch up this Bird’s Eye Maple Dresser… all arranged with a no contact pick-up… AWESOME!!! Well when she got it home… she had to admit to herself that she does not particularly like Bird’s Eye Maple (I have to admit… neither do I) … so now the fun starts! Watch how she transforms this dresser which has amazing bones into a fabulous Modern Style Farmhouse Statement piece in a wonderfully delicious paint and color. The end result… perfection. Come and check out her tips… tricks and products… could be just what you need for your next project!
Reduce – Reuse – Refashion Time – Prodigal Pieces
Well the master of Makeovers… Larissa has such an incredibly original project for us today. As you can imagine… when she spots an embroidered tea towel in her Thrift Store… she snatches it up in a flash… just like she did this Tea Time Towel (how cute is this). Well you are never going to guess what she did… she made an adorable handled bag that can be used for every day or you can also use it for decoration… or maybe even fill it with fresh blooms! Now… you have to grab a cup of your favorite brew and hop on over and see how she did it. I have to warn you… it was not that easy… but what a great end to a creative project!!!
$5 Dressing Table Bench Makeover – Confessions Of A Serial DIYER
You are going to be so impressed with this makeover. I have to say… when I saw the before piece I didn’t exactly see an ending that I would be in love with and boy was a wrong. After Christy got a hold of this bargain… she turned it into a fresh Cottage Farmhouse piece that everyone will love! The Buffalo Check upholstery was a strike of genius and put this piece over the edge. Come and watch the process… there are always tips and tricks to learn!
Thrift Store Metal Wall Decor Makeover – Confessions Of A Serial Diyer
Wait till you see what these 3 pieces looked like when Christy picked them up at her Thrift Store! The transformation is NIGHT and DAY!!! I just love how she see’s into the heart of a piece and brings the absolute best out of it. Trust me… this one is worth the look because it will have you looking at many a Thrift Store Pieces in a NEW LIGHT!!!
Vintage Duck Egg Paint Finish – Salvaged Inspirations
There are sometimes a piece just makes your heart beat 10 times faster and this one did exactly that to me! First… this piece started off as a plain… run of the mill Flatware Thrift Store Box. Nothing special but good bones. Well Denise add the perfect embellishments to upgrade the piece but then… she gave it the most amazing paint finish. I mean it is simply exquisite… she calls it a Vintage Duck Egg Paint Finish… whatever you call it… it is drop dead gorgeous and she shares exactly how she did it. This is a MUST SEE!!! Oh… she also shares a video… BONUS!!! (also… she lines the box with a pop of fresh blooms!) I can see this finish on a beautiful dresser and then the flower paper it is lined with used for peek-a-boo drawers!!! FAB!
How to Whitewash with Chalk Paint and Remove Paint from the Wood – Girl In The Garage
Time to watch Jen strip down a painted side table to the raw wood and totally transform the piece with a fabulous whitewashing of Chalk Paint! A great technique that just takes some major elbow grease and the results are amazing. Come on over and watch Jen work her magic!
Braided Bracelets from Vintage Handkerchiefs – Sadie Seasongoods
I know that this is not exactly a Farmhouse Thrift Store Makeover… but it was simple too pretty not to share with you! There are times that you are fortunate enough to find Vintage Handkerchiefs at your Thrift Shop like Sarah did. There are so many different ways to use them… but she create the most beautiful Braided Bracelets and she is sharing the DIY with us! Not only do they look pretty on… they display perfectly! Be sure to hop on over and learn this technique. If you are not as lucky as she … you can substitute with your favorite fabric. ENJOY!!! They make great gifts too! You can even use your own Grannies or Great Grannies… how special would that be to wear a little piece of her heart!
Vintage Lace as Art – Shades of Blue Interiors
This simple project is going to have you looking at pieces of lace and doilies in a whole new light! You will be surprised how many interesting pieces of lace you can find at your Thrift Shop… sometimes it is trim on a dress… sometimes it is a dresser scarf…etc… but now when you look at it… picture it framed! Maybe a double matt… maybe with a dramatic background paper and a matt and then of course the perfect frame. You can create completely unique and original artwork with lace for your Farmhouse Home! Oh the possibilities! Come and see how Rachel put hers together and then try your hand at it!
Vintage Dresser Makeover and Blue and White Bathroom – Lily Pad Cottage
Come and join Kelly for a great Vintage Dresser Makeover! It is now a wonderful Vanity and the focal point of her fresh and fabulous Bathroom! Come take the tour and get the scoop!
How to Repurpose a Desk into Tall Skinny Nightstands – A Ray Of Sunlight
I think you are really going to enjoy this project. If perchance you ever see a desk similar to this one but a desk is not what you are in the mood for… you just might want to look at it as two skinny nightstands or end tables or just small tables to be used just about any where! That is exactly what Natalie did and they turned out amazing! Now come on over and see how it is done and also see how this incredible finish is created! So much to learn… so much to be inspired by! ENJOY!!!
