I have a question for you… when you pick up a chair at The Thrift Shop or Goodwill or anywhere… is it always with the intention to use it for its primary purpose? Well Gail over at My Repurposed Life is always thinking outside the box and saw the chair she snatched up being used in 2 different projects! One a Coat Rack and another the other one a wall shelf… all from this one chair. Come on over and see how she did it. (this post features the wall shelf) You just might look at chairs in a different light. Also… if the chair is broken… you can still salvage it with at least one of these projects and if the chair has spindles… be sure to get it because you can cut them all loose for a million and one Spindle DIY Projects. Spindles are very expensive so if you score a chair for $5 – 10 … it is SOOOO worth it for the spindles and of course all the other parts like legs and beyond. A chair just has so many possibilities.
Now here is Gail from My Repurposed Life visiting Kim from Today’s Creative Life to share the second part of the chair creation… A Farmhouse Chairback Coat Rack. A lot of creativity and creations from one chair : )
If you love a good piece of Farmhouse Patriotic Art… then you are in the right place today. Larissa over at Prodigal Pieces… took a cabinet door from her HUGE stash of Thrifted Doors and Created this wonderful piece of Flag Art with a chalkboard center and she is sharing just how she did it so you can recreate it with whatever closet door you might have or find. (video is waiting for you) It’s a great piece of Americana that you can display any time of year.
Loving this new Hutch Makeover over at Reinvented Delaware. It’s fresh… fabulous and almost instantly got a Modern Farmhouse look! Come and see how… your ideas will start to FLOW!!! Don’t you just love the color!
Christy over at Confessions Of A Serial DIYER you will find her post on the Tale Of Two Rack Makeovers and both of them are fabulous! You will find an old spice rack her that was completely upcycled to a rack that can serve so many different uses… here you see it being used as a Cosmetic Accessory space. I simply adore how she used pretty tea cups and made this dated piece into a real Cottage Farmhouse Cutie! This is a two for one post… you will find a fabulous magazine rack upcycle that has tons of Cottage Farmhouse Charm… ENJOY and be INSPIRED!
Sam over at Raggedy Bits found & purchased a disappointing piece on an on-line garage sale and instead of throwing her to the curb she created a fabulous Drawer Caddy and this wonderful DIY Dresser Mirror Hook. Come and check it out… it’s a charming Cottage Style Farmhouse Piece that would look picture perfect hanging any place in the home. I love that she made the best of a disappointing find and created wonderful pieces with it… a very happy ending : )

With a yummy mint green and a bit of gold wax for the “glam” touch… this little chair turned into a masterpiece. Come and learn a new technique… you never know when you want to add a little touch of “glam” to your makeovers… LOVE IT!
Come on over to visit with Susan over at Homeroad! I know you will find this very interesting and informative. She took a Facebook Market Find Bench and gave it a whole new look by painting on the fabric. The Buffalo Plaid just brought everything to life. Best part… she is sharing her technique and supplies. It looks fabulous and she says that the end result is soft fabric… no stiffness at all. Great to know and even better knowing how! Oh the possibilities. Enjoy!
